I watched this video like half a year ago thinking that im unable to ever quit. I felt stuck and depressed also i was dealing with paranoia and derealization. And here I am half a year sober. There's a lot of stuff going on in the first couple of weeks but after a while you will find your way back to reality. Life seems so much easier now. No more stress. No more pressure. It feels like i never even smoked in the first place. After a while you stop counting the days being sober it just stops being a part of your life. I send blessings to everyone who wants to quit due to what ever reason. You got this man. I been there thinking I'll be stuck forever but after all quitting is worth it. Life is so much better on the other side I promise!

Thanks a lot for this man . I am trying to quit and it's not as easy as you keep telling yourself when you start smoking. That you can control this and you are the man.that whenever you decide to quit you can. The reality is..weed is addictive in many ways and influences people differently. After relapsing more than 4 times I'm ready to drastically try other methodes to quit. I won't give up and neither should anyone on this page.keep it up and you'll get there on day :)

Been smoking for 4 years now. I'm 19 and at first it was the best thing I had ever experienced. It's all fun and games until you start to fiend for it. I began stealing Items from my own family to pawn for weed, everyday I spend at least 10$ for the past 4 years. It has slowly ruined my life, my parents don't even look at me the same. which is why I plan to go to the army. Today is my first day stopping after many tries.. I do hope I'm successful and great video.

I agree and actually went through the exact thing you did 100%. it got out of hand. I was 18 at the time. 24 now. I love smoking still but I have been practicing self control for the last year now. it is not addictive physically. just mentally. I smoke to wake up. smoke to sleep and honestly find no problems with how it affects me socially anymore or with anything. the weed keeps me going. there is a reason it is here. I make my own thc oil and just vape it now. people get addicted to the smoking process and rolling and stuff. cut that out and learn to control when you smoke it can be fine. that being said it isn't for everyone. this guy is treating it as cocaine. I cant believe what he is saying at some points

I'm 17 and have been smoking since I was around 14. I didn't smoke a lot just around once a week until about a year and half ago I found myself smoking everyday after school and before I go to bed. I thought It wasn't possible to get addicted to weed but over the last year I've realized that when I find myself not high I wasn't able to eat the foods I always enjoy or get the proper sleep that I needed. like he stated in video I kept relapsing and it made it almost impossible to go without it. It's funny when ur not high all you think about is getting high but when you are, the only thing I think about is how stupid it really is and how much life it's taking away from me. Thank you so much for making this video. I need to get out of this loop that I'm stuck in and this video is just what I needed!!

Take it day by day and MAKE A CALENDAR, each day you don't smoke mark a X! It well motivate you and all it take is that 1 day to stop, believe in your self man it's not too late. Your life well be so much better sober. Anytime you feel like taking a smoke think to yourself "this one puff well set me back a month" make a promise to yourself to quit and keep it. You owe it to yourself. This goes for everyone who is having trouble smoking. Sht makes you lazy and uneducated. Once your off you well become your self again guaranteed. Good luck man

I am 21 now, soon turning 22, I started smoking with friends outside on a daily basis when I was 16 until I turned 18, from then I could get my own weed, and since that moment I smoked at home behind my computer, this has eaten 3 years from my life. I failed college because I simply would not show up anymore after three months of following it, I prioritized wake and baking over going to college, and because I was able to smoke at home I slowly started to cancel social activities. Because of this I started to have communication problems, I cannot talk fast and fluent anymore, I zone out at times, and became super self aware about everything. Right now I haven't done anything with friends for over a year, and yesterday I watched old VCR tapes from me as a kid, and saw how happy, cheerful and beautiful my life was, and how disgusting it is that I threw my late teens and early 20's away to smoking weed the whole day. This lit a fire under me, a I vow to myself that I turn my life around 180 degrees from now on.

@cartsy30325 жыл бұрын
Josh D - Come back to this topic. In my opinion, you could really benefit from meditation and mindfulness. Although it sounds stupid, it will allow you to come to terms with the person you were. The person your environment made you. Allow yourself to heal. If you always look back on this time with the perspective of society, you will always view your actions as unforgivable. Look back at it through your own eyes. What circumstances lead you to a weed addiction? Maintained it? You need to ask these questions and find the source. All in all Josh, you need to adopt a new perspective for yourself. You are not your enemy. You are your creator.

It's been a while since I stopped. I want to write this comment to give hope for people who think it's impossible to stop. First of all, I went back to the athlete that I ounce was before weed. I had the record of my highschool for the shuttle test (14.5). I had 3 classes of boxing per week, 2 days of soccer, and running 4 days a week. Weed took all that from me. I wasn't motivated anymore to train that much(which was a lot) Fuck it, I couldn't even do 10% of that. I went from a athlete and a very good student to a lazy fuck. Money is another factor, you don't really give a fuck about your finance when you're always high. I have much much better control over my financial life. Emotions, when you numb your emotion, guess what, you loose the control. I would get pissed for no reason and I went from a loveable guy to a douche. Social life, you will slowly start loosing people in your life. Now, I'm back, I respect my friends who love me and not those potheads who would call me only to get high. Dreams, It's so nice to have dreams again. I love to dream and analyse them. I think, you handicap yourself when you stop dreaming. If you guys are curious, watch a documentary about dreaming, it's a evolution tool for survival and understanding of your own mind. Time, I have so much time now. I can train, read, study, socialise, learn... instead of watching stupid shows on netflix. Anyways, there are tons of more benefits but I can't write them all. Good luck people. You were born to accomplish greatness. Peace to all. May the force be with you.

Started smoking at 17 and I’ve never felt a high dependency on the substance. I’ve been really good about keeping my tolerance low and generally being conservative with my weed which I feel has saved me money and time considering how long it takes me to smoke a whole blunt by myself (I usually smoke .5 at a time). When I tell ppl i smoke everyday they think I’m a lazy stoner couch potato with a crib that smells dank 24/7. Reality is I use it holistically to unwind or have a good time with friends. It’s never been an issue with me. I’ve also transitioned to vaping bud. Dab pens and dry herb vaporizers are my go to now and they conserve bud even more and the high is more efficient and smooth. Using weed can be a dangerous and destructive hobby if u make it out to be. Had a homie who started young and thought he was slick and brought that shit to school dumbass got caught smoking in the bathroom and eventually bounced in and out of jail. Another homie started young (14) too and developed schizophrenic tendencies and I had to cut him out of my circle. Shit can be bad if u abusing it. This ain’t to say get back to smokin again if u clean but ppl need to realize the mistakes they make themselves yet blame the weed.

It’s the same as everything else. Too many stoners think “I can do this high”..you don’t drink before you do something and go “ah this will be better drunk”. If handled maturely, even if it’s daily but after you’ve done everything else for the day it’s no issue. Too many stereotypes exist around weed and even stoners believe them to find an excuse for their laziness.

hats of to you for being honest and providing some easy to follow steps. I too have been struggling with marijuana use for 5 years now. I'm 22 and enrolled in engineering program, I started smoking pot when I was 17 in the dreams of becoming an engineer at the time. I have seen countless friends fall off their path and it's happening to me now as well. I spend 40 to 60 dollars per week to fill in my "boring" time with pot. It has affected my education, my willpower and outlook on life. I still want to become the man I've dreamed of being but marijuana has been a great challenge in motivation. I feel as though I am more productive when high but have come to realize that is not true. It only feels as if marijuana is feeding my curiosity and creativity but it does not provide such things. It's a trick and after letting the high go, I feel even less creative and productive. Smoking pot once a day can greatly reduce overall being. I did not see these effects when I first started and I assume that with substance-abuse, the general cognition decreases as the years go by. It's scary to think that you're getting dumber without even realising it. I hope to all here a good motivational outbreak, let's stop ourselves.

OfficialJesseStone I’ve been more of an On/off person with smoking. I had a car wreck back in June that almost crippled me. Broke my spine and shattered the back of my pelvis. Ive noticed since then my experience with THC is more therapeutic for pain and ptsd than it is for being a “party” time. But for people who can see it’s consuming all of their time & energy or just feel stagnant because it’s all they can motivate themselves to look forward to, this video makes sense. I’ve been there. Some people just need to step away for a while to get their life together. Weed isn’t toxic, it’s the person who’s toxic. If removing thc, caffeine, etc. helps you push forward then go for it and pursue your happiness without it. You got all the support from me sir.

That sounds like some amazing tips. Very motivating video. I hope you're still sober to this day buddy. I wish you the very best. I've smoked weed for the last 8 years. From which the last 2 years have been on and off trying to quit periodically. I'm so amazingly lucky that I've never felt any physical addiction. Nor any physical discomfort trying to quit. Everything was in my mind. I was never an actual "weed lover" while smoking, and I'm sure 99,9% of smokers enjoy weed far more than I did. I just continued smoking it anyway. Really fucked up that I smoked for 8 years with that mindset. Smoking weed started tearing down my selfworth. And at some point I started staying home to smoke by myself everyday. (Even though I could go to my friends' place and smoke with them.. everyday) All these facts have clearly made it easier for me to quit. But it has still been a struggle. During these 8 years I have worked in kind of meaningless jobs. But I always had some dream of studying. But I'm sober so far. My last time smoking is almost a month ago. Which was 2 days before I started high school. Now I have a stronger willpower than ever towards staying sober. Because I don't wanna fuck up my mind and feeling slow and dumb, especially not when studying. I'm sure weed isn't the worlds worst drug at all. But I'm just not made for it. So never again. Best regards.

great video man and so true. I'm on day 3 and I still don't want it, I've started to distance myself from a good smoking friend and i do feel its a thing I have to do right now, and its hard to eat and will be hard to eat so I would suggest drinking alot of natural juices. When you get cravings for pot do something positive and drink a juice, can't wait to break this cycle thats kinda haunted me for 19 years! Hope your doing well!

The right personality and starting late can go a long way in preventing this from hapenning. For me, weed has always been like in between alcohool and cofee You can have fun with it but really have to be carefull not overdoing it. I wouldn't be drinking all day everyday so same thing for smoking. But micro dosing it makes it more like cofee. a micro dosed sativa can make you sharper and more energetic in the morning while micro dosing an indica can make you fall asleep if you have an insomnia. I always stick to the same doses and I take breaks if my tolerance dares to change. The effects didn't change at all over time. Doing too much the very best thing you can do to totally ruin a very positive plant for you.

Y’all crazy u have to know what’s good and bad for you and you have to realize problems with ur self, I’m 16 and been smoking for 2 years, I have a very open mind and I suggest if you feel that there is something wrong with urself with anything with weed, learn how to grasp that situation and fix it, if you need to quit easily put ur mind on another objective everyday and think positive, It would be easier for me to explain if I was able to talk irl, but I just want to say you have the power of ur mind and u have the power to change and fix anything wrong with urself mentality.

Hi mate, best thing to do is isolate yourself from anyone who does it etc, this can get lonely but trust me it gets easier. I found that the first 6 weeks were rough, fucked up dreams, sweats, irritable and generally feeling unwell, but then around 6 weeks in sleep becomes perfect and you feel more alive etc, I recomend sleeping tablets, olbas oil, vitamin d tablets, green food, exercise, really good coffee and just generally keep busy, I feel better than I have done in years I'm 8 months 3 days smoke free and Lovin it.

I’ve been smoking around 3-5 times a day for the past year. I don’t even get high anymore. I just feel a constant fog in my head. I stutter sometimes and talk slow, I have horrible short term memory, I wake up every morning feeling like crap, I feel stiff and inflexible, and I have no energy to get off the couch once I’ve smoked. It’s a constant daily cycle and I feel like I’m rotting alive. Every time I haven’t smoked for a while, I become angry and stressed over the littlest things, irritable, and unable to sleep. One of the good things weed does is stop my chronic sleep paralysis. So its almost like I’m scared to go to sleep without smoking. I know I can overcome this and quit. I’m ready to feel awake again

Am so proud of you for making the right decision. It feels so freeing to be in control and not live a slave to weed. I remember feeling like I was on a timer, every 2 hours needing to smoke. Like a scuba tank and the whole world was underwater, when I would run low on air, to survive the world I'd have to smoke. Was a slave for years. So definitely agree it's SO liberating, Brekita!

Started at 15 1/2. tried to quit w/ help from counselor. Failed for 2 years. At 33 became utterly depressed (and a little weird), joined 12 steps, quit for 39 years, with only 2 or 3 short relapses (I dont count these, while most AA would), but I did relapes 1 year ago. It became legal for pain, which I really didnt have then. I'm 62 and the last year has been the most terrifying time and the MOST PAIN Filled year of my LIFE!. No shit. Thats why I watched your video. I strongly agree w everything you say. And for me it took support if for nothing else, just the friend thing. I like weed too much and Ive kinda abused the privilage, I guess.

That's great!! You're making changes in a positive direction! Love hearing turn around stories, coming from your environment and still having the mindset to know you have to quit because it steals time, energy, creativity, etc... That's awesome! I HIGHLY recommend you take CBD. It is marijuana without the high, no THC. It causes you to feel calm, relaxed, you can eat great and sleep wonderfully. You take 2-3 drops under your tongue whenever you start to feel the agitated feeling from quitting and it's reduced by 90%. This is the CBD I buy - www.cbdpure.com?AFFID=331182

Thank you so much for this video. I have been smoking weed daily for about 6 years and it went from harmless fun to dependency that for the longest time I refused to believe I had. And from someone who has tried to quit several times, this video is exactly what I needed. I have had similar conclusions about how I need to go about stopping for good, and this video reaffirmed those ideas for me. The hardest part, I believe, is eliminating yourself from the environment. I am 22, in college, and live in a house off campus with 2 roommates who smoke every day. It is tough, but I think it will be well worth it to stop. Again, thank you.

Bro the best motivator for me was getting into the gym. I realized it is impossible to be consistent with the gym while being a regular smoker. Even if I hold off smoking until going the gym, I found that I would wake up feeling completely sapped of energy the next morning. Working on your fitness is immensely rewarding once you see yourself hitting your goals and getting stronger. Now my energy levels are consistent throughout the day, I'm clear headed, I don't struggle to read because I don't lose focus as easily. Seriously screw weed.

Please, try to be understanding of him. I know it's difficult and we cannot change people, but we can point them in the right direction. If you want maybe I can email him and not mention you at all, but instead just share how weed robbed me of so much and that he has people who love him and wished he quit. Like an anonymous message. I don't know just trying to think of ideas to help because you cannot talk to him directly about the issue If anything, stay strong and use this as an example to never be addicted to anything. We were before and it's truly a sad place, especially when you want to quit but just can't. My heart goes out to you and I'm proud of you for acknowledging that you want nothing to do with weed. I was with my co-worker buddies and we were just posted up shootin some shit. After we finished up bullshitting I remember my friend specifically telling me to be careful on the way home. So at this point I jumped in my car and headed towards my house when I saw a large black wolf-like creature on the side of the road. I was started but unbothered by its appearance and slowed down to pass it at a slower speed so that I could get a look. As I inched closer to the wolf I could see it anticipate my arrival. Suddenly the wolf jump into my car and latched his mouth on my arm where he continued to shake his head tearing into my flesh. At this point I woke up from the dream and felt as if my heart was pounding out of my chest. This dream was pretty intense but looking back I think it was really cool to live that experience (not in reality) and remain unharmed.

You have to see it like this, you've been stoned for so long that you haven't had to feel the emotions of a normal human. You haven't had to use your sober mind so its untrained and weak. However the longer you stay sober the easier it will be to control your emotions and your sober mind. It's like training wheels on a bike and after two to three months of being sober you'll ride the bike of life without training wheels. Try this man: amzn.to/2fifyQL (Really helps with anxiety/stress) Drink coconut water to clean your system. Exercise, run in the morning even for only 10 minutes but YOU MUST run and push yourself. At night go to gym. Melatonin natural herbal pills to sleep Dark chocolate to boost your mood as well, high quality dark chocolate. Eat one chunk each morning before running! If you combine this you'll start your morning feeling so good and the gym + anxiety pills will ensure that you have a much easier time quitting weed and overcoming withdrawals. Hope this helps!

Been smoking for two years every single day at least 2 blunts a day. I did a lot of thinking on weed and it helped me with PTSD from a car accident but it got to the point where I was getting way too anxious for no reason and that fear is what drove me to quit. I will definitely smoke again just no in the near future as I’m still going through puberty and my mind is developing. If you are gonna smoke, leave to Friday’s and Saturday’s only when you have the time to unwind from the problems you face during the week.

Have you tried CBD? It's basically marijuana without THC, so no high and is taken under your tongue. It's legal and will make you feel super mellow, you'll be able to eat and sleep as well. For me it reduced withdrawals symptoms by 90%, it's still not a walk in the park but honestly I wouldn't have been able to quit smoking without it. This is the CBD I buy - www.cbdpure.com?AFFID=331182 (I recommend you check it out and learn more about it.)

The key to quiting is not letting yourself be surrounded by it (weed). Out of sight out of mind. It's really that easy. And staying busy!

Weed in itself is a psychotropic. If there are underlying issues such as guilt, remorse, the need to feel change etc.. Smoking will only affirm and exacerbate said issues forcing you to want change and quit which would be for the better. If you are content with your current state, then you will smoke and relax without exacerbating any underlying issues that will then come to forefront. The moment things get turbulent and you smoke in that mindset, you'll rick the boat further tipping you over the edge. The same effect would be had with booze, caffeine etc. I had many therapy sessions over a portion of years. It took a while before I was asked if I smoked cannabis. I didn't but sure did intake ALOT of caffeine and nicotine. These drugs created the same symptoms they often see in psychotropic abuse. What I've learned after moderating is that you can have fine balance with your vices.

11 days smoke free, before I clicked on this video, I already knew you was going to say stop hanging with your stoner friends, and honestly it's the harsh truth. I have been smoking almost everyday for the past 2 years straight I know it isn't as long compared to others but its better to notice I need to change sooner than later. I am from the UK and we tend to put tobacco in our zoots (spliffs) and everyone I know around me does, so I decided to cut down by smoking marijuana without using tobacco. This helped me alot because I socially blazed and everyone else who did used tobacco, so if someone was to offer I would reject due to it having tobacco inside, and it came to a point where I could go days without a spliff then or only smoke on certain occasions, I am now at the point where I dont think I need to smoke anymore as it does cost alot of money. For just 1 gram down here in the UK, would be equivalent to around $12 in the US and I gotta be honest I have been very bored not smoking but it makes me more motivated to do knew things and hobbies. So anyone out there trying to stop, you can do it, all it takes is strong will power and YOU need to know yourself you need to change.

I remember when I first quit, reality seemed so much more interesting and even exciting when I wasn't "out of it" all the time. Now it just seems normal again, like before, but I'll never go back to smoking weed. I just don't need it any more, and I feel more at peace without it. Cheers.

Hey friend, Please look at the Google search results linked here: www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1CHWA_enMX538MX539&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=help+withdrawals+quitting+weed+forum In the link above, look at the multiple forum websites, then the multiple posts in each forum website, and understand there's HUNDREDS of people having hell quitting weed. You clearly were not the level of smoker that us others were. Try quitting cold turkey after smoking an 8th or 3.5 grams everyday, for FIVE years straight, without a SINGLE break longer than 24 hours. Tell me how you feel afterwards, the video will help you then.
