“Marijuana dims the human spirit over time” that one hit me hard because it’s so true. When I first started smoking it was such a fun adventure every time. Everything felt enhanced because of it. Fast forward 15 years later and I was smoking because it was simply apart of me. I wasn’t having fun anymore, I was smoking just to get “normal” instead of high. I had become lazy and unmotivated and did nothing. This video really gets the issues with being a chronic smoker. Being sober feels great and it’s right.

Ok, I am 60 years old and smoked since I was 15 and usually only quit when I needed to test for a job. Other than that, I have smoked heavily everyday. It made me tired, irritable, unmotivated, and lazy. I am 40 days clean and went through withdrawals of insomnia and mood swings. I noticed this week, I wasn't cursing out other drivers on the road and falling asleep and staying asleep. I intend to quit forever because I realize I can't be a social smoker, but will always be a heavy smoker, if I smoke. My boyfriend still smokes but doesn't buy. A friend gave him an 8th of an ounce and he was nice enough to smoke outside, although I am not tempted to smoke at all/ Last week he left a full bowl of it out, perhaps by accident and I wasn't the least bit tempted. I remember how drained I felt smoking it. You can do it and I will pray for you!

Theres a lot of videos showing that it works, however I was using marijuana to cure BOREDOM. Wow, what an illness that is. What Hussein is saying is not all b.s. He is trying to share his testimony and help others who are in deep. I wish you wouldn't be so quick to get angry, because you do not need to defend marijuana, everyone here has likely enjoyed it. The problem is addiction and dependence, its a psychological issue that is very real and can happen with weed. The sedative effects became a big issue for me because I wasnt truly myself, I lived reality through a foggy lense for so long that I regretted not being present in this short life with the people I love

I found a great path to healing. His name is Jesus. Jesus took all of my pain, all of my suffering, trials and tribulations on Himself on the Cross. Jesus is the only one who died for the punishment of our sins and rose from dead to reveal His power over life and death. Because of Jesus, I am a new being. I don't need alcohol, marijuana or any other drug to push aside life's challenges. Jesus carries me through this life each and every day. And the most beautiful part of believing in Jesus is that someday after I die, I will join Jesus in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places and Jesus has prepared a place for those who believe in Him. I challenge you today to put your faith and trust in Jesus. He is more than able to heal you and make you a new being. Pray this simple prayer and ask Jesus to enter your life: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending your Son, the Lord Jesus to die on the Cross for my sins. I know I am a sinner. I know I have broken your laws. Today, I want to believe and receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and follow Him only. Father, I pray for your healing and your protection over my life and those around me. I want to believe and receive Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. In His precious and Holy Name I pray. Amen! And i have to say that this video is 100% true and straight facts i needed to hear. I learned so much in that journey without smoking about dopamine and connecting with your higher self etc. Believe me guys that beeing sober, eating right, doing sport, meditate, taking cold showers, no fap, reading, meeting new people and learning everyday something new gives you the natural high wich is way better than beeing stoned on a regular

JS 09 mind your own business, I’ve been smoking weed heavily since I was 12 years old and am now coming into 22 years old. 10 years of heavy marijuana usage crippled my brain development during my adolescence. There is actual research of the amygdala being crippled and shrunken in addition to my frontal lobe being under active. I used marijuana as an escapism for myself, but started developing paranoia as there is actual research that it can set off schizophrenia of you are predisposed to it. Do not invalidate someone else’s problems. I was suicidal and anxious as well, I still am. Marijuana no longer serves me anymore because I have no coping skills other than getting high.

That's society making those problems worse for you when you realize that weed isn't fulfilling your truest forms of excitement, which brings about the most gratifying chemicals. It's not marijuana that turns you lazy completely. It's a mindset that has been programmed into our psyche that we should become idle when using it, or increase our desires for consumption, which is all just reprogramming our uses of something that has such a power-effect on us.

I struggled with intense depression and disassociation growing up, to where I internalized it as just a part of who I am, then when I first encountered marijuana at 18 I felt like my world went from black and white to full color. Words like love and joy went from things I could recite textbook definitions of to actual experiences of profound depth and nuance I had no idea previously existed, it literally transformed and opened up who I am as a person and anyone who knows me would say it's like I'm an entirely different person now. But it also feels like those life lessons this substance may have had to teach me dried up years ago and now I DO feel dimmed and held back from reaching my full potential. I've never had such conflicted and confusing feelings about anything in all my life.

Amen! Let me know how you are doing.

That was my experience. That's what made the decision to quit so hard to arrive at. It was beautiful just how much marijuana helped me with my depression. It wasn't just getting high. lola diaz so still clean? I found the first two weeks was the hardest. I've not smoked for 2 month now and it is definitly easier. I dont really think about it too much anymore. Just need to make sure I dont sabotage myself by thinking I could control it. There is just no way I could have weed at my disposal and not smoke it for a prolonged time. The only way is to stop completely for me.

Same here, its been alittle over a month now and im still clean. The vivid dreams and nightmeres were the worst for me. So far so good. I know a lot of people who can smoke and quit no prob, im not one of them. Im a true addict, if i smoke one i just want to keep going and usually do for yrs and yrs. I think staying away from it is best for me, but not for everyone. Best wishes to everyone just trying to be better than they were yesterday. Love for all.

Following a relapse I always return to this video. It always makes so much sense. Day 1...now working towards 90 days (again). Have felt so depressed. I know it doesn't serve me at all. It needs to stop permanently. I'm losing myself. I can't do my job. I'm a mess. I need to stop smoking, gambling and porn. It's all related and it's destroying me and I'm wasting my life :( I can't cope waking up feeling like shit anymore and only wanting to smoke. It's also costing me a fortune. day 5 today, started off tapering to only night time. by day 3 i was in a mild manic phase ( sweeating , running around everywhere, crying, happy, shadow boxing ) non stop, when night time came, i decided to smoke as planned and it sent me into a bad panic episode that i thankfully snapped out of . fast forward today, well i still have random waves of anxiety but its more clear now, i understand whats going on and its more physical then mental. ( shakes, tension, bad thoughts intrusive). i am able to atleast force myself to eat half a meal every 4 hours, up until now that was extremely difficult. i was smoking everyday for 14 months, which is nothing to most people. i made it through my first night without weed lastnight and only used CBN which is basically CBD. it helped the sleep process.

The Life Of Hebah Don’t give up. Or even be frustrated. It’s a fact that every time you try to quit, you get closer to quitting. This could be the time where you get momentum and finally Let it go. The reason you let it go is because it no Longer has relevance in your life. Something else is calling you. Allow the new thing to enter your Life. What I have found helpful is to Connect with other people who also have let it go. Even if it is just one person, that’s enough. We have a Recovery 2.0 Global Facebook Group. Join it. I'm surrounded by this image of Jake the old happy hippy. Every one expects it of me. I don't want to be that guy anymore. I get stoned before every thing I do. Including the gym. Playing guitar. Working in the yard, walking my dog, fishing, golfing, every thing. It's so hard. You are absolutely right about everything you are saying. Legal weed in Canada has not helped the situation. This video really helped me. I've been a daily user for over 30 years and I've made every excuse under the sun not to quit smoking weed. Finally with some good counselling and just a paradigm shift, I stopped on Dec 6th to take a week off. I'm on Day 27 and I never want to go back. The withdrawal was tough but nothing I couldn't handle and thankfully I already do yoga daily for 3.5 years, I haven't missed a day. I found Tommy's Recovery 2.0 Yoga videos extremely helpful and if I can quit weed, anyone can. I was the worst pothead I knew and I will just let you know some of the benefits of quitting. I can think clearly again, I can visit friends and family and just enjoy their company. I can go to the beach or for a walk or anything and I feel happier than I ever have. Take baby steps and try one week at a time, and then just keep going. Thank you Tommy Rosen and the community for all you do to help the addictions... and I agree with the "Just Breathe" parts and if you need to, you can take a fake toke and hold it in for a few seconds till you kick the habit. Especially for the younger people, don't wait till your almost 50 to quit, your life is way to beautiful and you can create some dreams and goals and get after it!!!💜With all of my love and light, xo Nicole

That is so sad. I bet you guys if you vaped or smoked weed 1 or 2 times a week, you wouldn't think that. No one should drink alcohol 3-4 times a day, every day for years. That would destroy you. Same thing with weed. Why can't people just be responsible, its just sad.
@persianfoo6 жыл бұрын
johan terzis 10 times a day?? How do you find the time to do that? I'm just curious. I have no idea how people have that much free time on their hands to smoke all day. Do you not have a job or career? Or girlfriend?
@persianfoo6 жыл бұрын
In my opinion and experience, I think smoking weed every night is not good for most people. I used to do that too and I noticed more negatives then positives after doing that for years. Would you drink a glass of wine every night? I mean you could, but would you enjoy doing that every night for the rest of your life? Eventually, you won't appreciate it as much or you may start drinking more than one glass. I bet your friends who smoke 8-10 times a day don't have full time professional careers or they don't make a lot of money. I love weed and used to smoke it 3-5 times a day for 2-3 years, then smoke it nightly for 2-3 years. Now, I really enjoy weed 1-2 days a week (usually 2-3 bowls those days). Anymore then that and I feel like it starts becoming a negative habit. But to each their own I guess. I enjoy being completely sober for weeks or months at a time sometimes too.

Not easy but after a recent divorce and getting cancer at the same time, along with my best friend passing away, I know that life can get a lot more shit. My time to deal with it. Fingers crossed.

I came here cause I’m on a tolerance break, but what your saying is very true....I used to smoke weed because it was fun, relaxing, and I hated alcohol. But slowly I’ve noticed that I would smoke weed whenever I was bored, and it inevitably turned into an everyday thing. I was smoking everyday and multiple times a day. I’m not planning to fully stop but take breaks instead and get into a good relationship with weed.
