@ChrisakacIoud He's right about him having the same match every time, I'll give that to Cornette but as much as I love Corney, the same style match against a new opponent every time (and yes he is awful) is never as bad as WWE have 3 or 4 repeat matches every single time because you still get a different buildup to a new opponent in AEW and for every one of Moxley's terrible matches that are the same, his promos are different and pretty good.

To be fair to Moxley, his ideas being stupid and Lesnar being uncooperative were almost certainly mutually exclusive. Lesnar's been uncooperative since New Japan, where he opted to run away with the belt instead of get back into the ring with Shinsuke Nakamura. Inoki had to fly in Angle on the pretense of using them and IWPG Heavyweight belt to boost his(relatively)new Genome Fed just to get the belt back from Lesnar.

I actually liked this match in terms of the action. Of course it being an Omega match, it lacked a certain intensity and believability. But the basic contrast of Moxley's hardnosed brawling style compared to Omega's more flamboyant, explosive style worked well. Even the chair moment wasn't so bad. I liked that were no stupid gimmicky weapons. Unfortunately he energy from the commentary felt more like BBC announcers at a state funeral than an exciting championship match and title change.

The absolute worst thing about this match was the way the commentators acted like Omega hitting Moxley with A MICROPHONE was a despicable, unforgivable, heel turn. “They had a gentleman’s agreement!”... but Moxley DDTing Kenny through a speaker stack onto the concrete was gentlemanly? The booking in AEW is absolutely repugnant and will never capture the attention of casual fans.

He was always at his best in the Shield in six man tag matches where his weaknesses were heavily protected. Since he's been in AEW I can absolutely see why Vince put all his stock into Roman and Seth.

I've literally seen matches were he gets beat up for 10 straight minutes with no offense, and then out of nowhere he knocks the other guy down, jerks his arm like it's his johnson, and then super punches the other guy for the 1, 2, 3.....

People don’t realise how important the look is to a wrestler becoming a star. Casual fans aren’t looking for the average Joe to be the face of the company.
