Tyson fought the way he did because he was at a significant size and reach disadvantage from most other heavyweights, so he would get close and generate insane power from really short hooks to get the KO and win, and he needed to win because BOXING ISN’T A FUCKING WORK. The move that Osprey used is called Tigerdriver 91. Invented by Mitsuharu Misawa. So yes, this is a REAL move, NOT a botch, and yes, the move is dangerous, and it was one of the most protected finishers in AJPW. Along with Burning Hammer and Ganzo Bomb. Was used very very rarely, when Misawa could not put his opponent away with any other move. Usually it was Kobashi or Kawada on the receiving end of TigerDriver 91. Awesome, just awesome move. What those two numbskulls: Omega and Osprey, fucked up, is that they did NOT protect that finisher. After that TD91, that should have been One Two Three and then Omega should have been carried out because of a "knockout". You PROTECT those finishers, especially the ones created by one of the Gods of Wrestling, such as Misawa. The problem was NOT that they used TD91, but the fact that it was NOT the finish.

They don’t protect any finishers which is why wrestling is having so much trouble. It’s my main issue with HBK and undertaker matches, they were just big spots and false finishes over and over, made any move in any match look useless afterwards, plus a ton of people copied that format. It’s silly what happened to wrestling. Hogan got over with a damn leg drop and Bret hart could do any move and make it look legit and painful.
