Little something else a LOT of people overlook when it comes to Punk. His "straight edge" gimmick is his LIFE. He's honest in everything he does, which is why a lot of people get annoyed with him, and also why Heyman loved him so much. You always knew where you stood with him. Heyman said if you didnt want to know the truth, don't ask CM Punk because he'll tell you, and in no uncertain terms. This was just the latest example. So Punk shines the light of truth on things, the "Elite" does a lot of backstage whispers. How do you combat lies - you just confront them. Dont back off from them, stand your ground. Punk does that, has done that, and doesn't care if people dont like it or not. HE knows his own actions, and what the facts are, as for what others say/do that's their problem.
@Flameb02 жыл бұрын
people often confuse being an untactful asshole with being "honest". if you really think the guy who is the #1 at a promotion should go on TV, bury the entire company, and make the owner look like a tool, then I'm not sure what to say to you. there is a right and wrong way to do things just because someone wrongs you doesn't give you carte blanche to act however you want. even assuming punk was 100% correct with what he said (which none of us actually know), the way he handled the situation was completely wrong. lets not even get into the assault that occurred afterwards and if anyone ever needed to smoke a fucking joint it's probably CM Punk. he comes across as an extremely immature person who sees everything in black and white and is incapable of recognizing his own mistakes

Punk wants to save AEW. Not for selfless, altruistic reasons, nor because the wrestling industry would be better off with two big companies instead of a WWE monopoly. No, he's only doing this to spite Triple H and deny him the pleasure of killing AEW the same way Vince killed WCW.

Honestly I think Punk is the first guy in AEW to come out and voice the opinion that most other guys backstage have. They don’t want to lose their spot so they stayed quiet. Punk has nothing to lose plus he’s known for speaking his mind.

Yeah it's easy to have nothing to lose when you've already been payed the highest in the company. Punk has proven he doesn't need Pro Wrestling he can just go home and lay on his couch like he did for the past what 7 to 8 years. despite being in low B tier films that nobody has heard of.

So glad that this is here early, thanks guys. The Young Bucks and Omega remind me of the three high school girls from Mean Girls, both in attitude and toughness. If it's true that the Bucks are leaking rumours to dirtsheets with the intent of undermining top guys they don't like such as Punk and Cody, then they should never work for a major company again. Same with Hangman for derailing a main event segment on National TV to settle his petty beefs. I feel for Tony but he brought this on himself. He's indulged the Elite and their BS for far too long.

We gotta also blame Uncle Dave too.
