Hi everyone,
It’s officially my first month in Japan and I must say I am stressed. From the Language barrier to every other thing it’s all new to me but I am adjusting although it might take sometime.
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it.

From how I understand it you can sometimes get issues because you’re not used to the local microbiome so some people drink bottled water when they’re on holiday, but if you’re living abroad it’s much easier to just risk a stomach bug to get your system adapted to it. (this is actually an issue if you move to the US lol because of diet & food differences, they have way less diverse gut microbes and it causes all sorts of issues)

It is always overwhelming moving so far away from family, especially on your own. Culture shock and homesickness are real. I've moved to different countries a couple of times, though never on my own. Even having family around to support, culture shock is real, and the learning curve is steep and tough. I love that you showed the difficulties of moving to Japan, teaching, budgeting, learning new ways to get around. It's so important that this video is out there so others who are considering moving to Japan can be prepared. Your video is doing a great service - thank you! It takes strength to show your vulnerabilities. I am so impressed with you, with your work ethic, with your determination to continue despite the challenges. You go, girl! You've got this. Keep on keeping on. There will be good times and bad times, and you've got what it takes to get through them all.

Congratulations on making it to Japan! I will be moving there for work at the end of July. I can only imagine how isolated and stressed you feel (financial stress is hard enough at home, let alone in an unfamiliar place with a language barrier). Stay strong! I'm rooting for your success!!☺♥

Just watched your video and I am full of admiration for you!. To see you pushing to overcome your struggles and doing your absolute best is truly inspiring. I too live in a country that's not my home country or language so I can relate!. There are times when you feel like such an outsider and everything is conspiring against you, but there will also be times when you can experience the joy and beauty you came to this country to find. Whatever happens you can feel proud that you made this great step and chose to grow as a human being. I wish you power and strength, you got this!. ❤️💪

It can be a struggle starting out but it wont be forever! You will settle into your new job and adjust. Your in a new environment with new people and laws, you will eventually get use to it, meet loads of new people, and have a group you can rely on. Wishing you the best of luck with your journey in Japan.

@@journosketch She can cry, there's nothing wrong or weak about crying. While the change is good, the adjustment is still stressful and scary. Crying is good for the body to release some of that stress so she can have more mental clarity to take the next step forward.
