Jayden, I think you did great only spending a 100.00 at the ALDI. Because you will find that there is a lot of stuff that you will need to go with what you got already. Love your colors on the bed. Also try TJ Maxx because they normally have a lot of side tables. Good luck! You’re doing great!

I agree! Furniture in thrift stores is usually better quality than you find new and affordable in stores. A lot of people move to Florida and donate because the old things don’t fit the new place.

Yesss ma'am Amy I buy the GV 1,000 sheet toilet paper! Back early 2023 my neighbors son messaged me and asked if he could get a roll. I took it over and the next day he said his bottom was sore because of that harsh t.p., lol. Then this past Sept he messaged and asked if I had any soft paper towels by chance, to wipe sweat while outside, I didn't have any soft ones, lol. Blessings y'all!

My first house was furnished with pieces taken off the curb when people put them out for trash. lol. My mom taught me how to remove the fabric one stitch at a time, shop for new upholstery at bargain tables, and cut new pieces using the old. We would sew and reattach the pieces the same way the old ones were. She used to say, where there’s a will, there’s a way. She was an amazing woman who taught her daughters to be independent before it was a thing. Way to go, Amy, doing the same with your girls. And best wishes to Jayden with her new place. It was so fun shopping with you today!

I think Jayden needs to a video on how she is able to have her own apartment. The rent is astronomical in Florida and we are trying to relocate there to be near family. Any help on teaching my 19 year old how to adult as well would be amazing.

I'd love to say I could buy all my kids a car and a place but that isn't what we could do. Food and water is expensive when you have a large family.. I teach them to trust in God and allow Him to work in their lives and watch what He will do and this is another testament of his goodness..nothing from me ..all the Lord.

Just a suggestion, depending on her budget of course, you could take Jadyn to Sam's Club and she could buy her toilet tissue, napkins, etc.. in bulk. I'm not particular with my paper towels so I buy a 6 pack at the Dollar Tree for $5.00. Also, I price compare with the three stores I shop at most often--Aldi, WalMart, and Sam's Club.

Yes to this! Not sure it's still sold at walmart but they used to sell glory rug and upholstery cleaner and it was a spray that you put on the couches let it dry then vacuum... it worked super well
