Agree with you all, I’m not really interested in watching KZbinr’s as I find the vast majority irritating to watch and most don’t seem to know what they are talking about, but I’ve been watching Jamie’s videos ever since he uploaded the video he did of my uncles Bond Bug, and I watch him for the exact same reasons, down to earth, easy going, easy to watch, and a genuine petrol head who has a real interest in every car he features 👍🏼

Many folk I know and bump into seem to have their egos inflated by materialism or a seemingly intertwined state of feeling above everyone else. Interesting explanation from Ben, my 2.5tfsi also let go the same way, rings jammed the ringland and broke a chunk off the piston. Was only running at 1.8bar with water meth injection for cooling too. I guess like he says, down to luck! Excited to see what the new setup behaves like!

Been waiting since i last seen the car come off the rollers and leave two huge 11’s driving out the lot to see what it drove like with 500 hp, now I know it didn’t go well. Any car with a decent amount of power needs looked after. Shame it’d had a hard life before you obviously but onwards and upwards and now you know it’s strong. So watching for the next cupra video with interest. Hopefully soon 🤙

I sold my stage 3 7.5r because I don’t think they can actually handle it like most tuners will have you belive. I think stage 2 make on the ea888 to keep it safe

Mine is being built now after the “even rarer” con rod shattering 😖 I needed a brand new block too and have ended up getting a high boost kit from Bartek Tuning in Germany I believe. Think my internals are good for close to 1000 bhp (according to the website) so figure my 500 should be safe Running a racingline stage 3 with hybrid is38 turbo & now every supporting mod available I think! Intercooler, fuel pump, catch can, oil cooler, intake, exhaust, sport cat the lot!!
