If you are looking for a laugh some day, look at the live version of Colder Weather Memory Lapse - it’s a joy, and not on purpose, but shows Tim thinking on his feet…

When they sang this on The Sing Off the judges didn't want Rob to sing it. But I will have to say that he did and does a fantastic job. This version is so very different from the other one's. I always enjoy watching your reactions to these guys.

Whatever Rupp does with his throat at 7:52 is pretty cool. Crazy how he just keeps getting better.

Ha! As you were talking about the lack of emotion in Austin's part I was thinking "Oh, just wait 10 seconds." Such a great job by the boys. Great leads and great harmonies - and perfect percussion. I like that the usually leave the breaths in, too. Makes it feel more real.

When you critiqued about Austin not belting out the part out spoke of, I was sort of yelling at you saying “Wait, Mortius! He’s getting there really soon!” Lol I love the older version, but this one is really so much better. They have a much more mature sound, plus there’s so much more they can do in the studio version these days. They guys really have evolved since then, though. They continue to up their talent somehow.

I love all their renditions of this song. As always the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific! If you've had a hard day, watch the live (audience taken) video "Colder Memory Lapse" - I guarantee you'll laugh!

It’s one of my all time favorites. I use it as a teaching moment for young people who are nervous about playing with the choir. Everyone in the audience knows the song, but nobody in church knows what your part sounds like!

What a wonderful song this remains. Every time I not only hear it, but I feel it too! Every part of every member is amazing! The video is also so beautifully done. Yet a tear flows down my cheeks. I think of my partner who had his birthday on December 25, but died unexpectedly January 12 2019 at the age of 60. But I hope that he has finally found the peace where he is now that he cannot find here on earth.

@@ChessieChess thanks🫶 Although it remains a loss and 60 years is too young to pass away, I still hope that he has found the peace that he did not find here on earth.

You seemed a little confused as to why they did another version of this one. Their latest album is entitled As Seen on TV and ot is updated versions of all of the songs that they did on The Sing Off for the 10th anniversary of their win. Hence, the recent updated versions of Stand By Me, Life is a Highway, Sing of Fire, etc.

Great reaction! This was so beautiful! Always enjoy the songs that showcase all the individual voices. I have always loved this song when Home Free first did it on the "Sing Off" & then redid it a few years later. But I think this 3rd remake is my favorite version now.

That was not Rob singing behind Austin when his verse started. That was Austin being dubbed over Austin.

Because you mentioned ads in the beginning, something I've always been wondering is how it works for reaction & analysis youtubers with rights and licenses. Do you just have to get permission to react to a song? Or do you also have to pay actual royalties for it? Is that why some songs never seem to be covered by any r&a youtuber (such as Home Free's "Hillbilly bone"), because they're too expensive or just won't get allowed? Sorry, that was absolutely not about the song or your reaction, but I just always wanted to know that. 🙈
