In one of Tim's interviews he explains that he was a late bloomer and was a tenor well into his teens. After his voice changed he worked to keep the tenor as well instead of abandoning as most male singers do.

@@lonewolfx499 While he sings in 6 octaves, his A5 high note is actually just below 6 octaves above his C0 low note. Thus he covers 5 octaves, plus about 3/4 of a 6th. So, while close, his range is actually 5 octaves.

Tim is something else, isn‘t he? Yes, we all will love him today, tomorrow on so forth. Tim is an incredibly versatile artist. You are right in that this album, Pieces of me Vol. 1, is totally acappella and all Tim. But he has another solo country album that is with instruments. Most of his recent solo work lives on his patreon, which I cannot recommend enough. There are so many different songs that show not only his vocal but also his artistic range.

I love people reacting when Chris throws that switch and Tim goes high and you're shock was priceless. I'm old enough to have heard these songs on the radio when stations weren't in any corporation niche but locally owned and operated and DJs would play any song they wished, switching from rock to country to doo wop to soul and back again. Tim, Austin, and Home Free as a whole are bring me back to so many songs I heard as a child, it's so funny to see others reacting to what is is pretty well know to me. It was great to see your reaction to this. I like your YT channel and thanks for your work. And I'm a little late, but have a happy new year.

Tim is no longer just a bass singer. He can sing in anything. Mind blown
@sallymaria2 жыл бұрын
What I love about Tim's voice is that he has this incredible range, but he's also a great singer, who uses it in service of the song, rather than ticking off octaves. He sang for a while with a group that specialised in acapella Doo-Wop, called the Alley Cats, and a lot of the time with these songs it's less a formal arrangement, and more a - I know how these songs go, I'll just start recording. If you want to see some examples of just how flexible his voice is, look for live versions of Your Man and Lil' Red Riding Hood.
@lrfcowper2 жыл бұрын
The official video of Your Man is recorded live, but what you want is a *concert* version. There's extra stuff in the concert version. Russell Wolff Productions has a decent version as I recall. (They also have a version of Lil Red Riding Hood from the Patreon party.)

Hi Mortius, that's the best reaction I've seen in a long time 😂😁 All the singing, beatboxing in different songs and clapping and finger snapping on this album is done by Tim, it's fantastic. No matter what Tim sings and no matter if super low or very high - it's always perfect, the tones clear and clean. What a voice, what a talent! WOW !!! Whenever I think nothing can surprise me anymore, the next killer comes, LOL :-) This is the reason why Tim is my absolute favorite.
@markgaudry75492 жыл бұрын
I was a 70's DJ on radio with vinyl. Everybody did fadeouts to make segueing easy. That way a final line wouldn't get chopped in the change over to a new song. With digital formats, that was no longer necessary so it faded out. Especially after it became easy to make a continuous playlist from different sources.

I'm so happy you reacted to this one. I loved your reaction and as always I learned a great deal. I've also heard many singers with large ranges but I often don't like the sound of a bass singing tenor or a tenor's baritone etc. They just sound off to my ear. With Tim, I just love his entire range. His tone is so pure and bright throughout. I know most people go nuts over how low and/or how high he can go but for me, it's all about the sound of his range.
