I never caught on that Boyd saw Raylan, and knew he was protected, so he got lippy. Boyd Crowder is the GOAT

While the dialogue was entertaining, not sure they would not have just dropped them the second they did not drop their guns. Especially the way the one guy was waving it around telling the Shakespeare story.

Maybe. But assuming that the Marshals are competent, Rosco is waving a 1911 pistol around with the hammer down. 1911-pattern pistols are single-action only firearms. Unless there is already a round in the chamber, AND the hammer is back, the pistol can’t be fired. So, really, that was an execution.
