I agree completely! Alfy was fun to watch for the short time he played for the Wings--would have loved to see him wear the sweater a little longer. Good to see two Hall of Fame guys as friends and competitors. I really miss the cup capable teams.

the perfect human could of played well into his 50's i think yes he was slowing down but he was still the best defensemen in the league the year he hung up his skates, he easily could of gone on longer and he would of been able to maybe push the wings deeper into the playoffs the last 2 seasons we made it

This team and the refs are a joke. This team does not respond to Lalonde. They all ignore him and are never ready to play. After the debrincat too many men penalty, Yzerman should've pulled the team and went home. Stop subjecting us fans to this poor ass product. If you have no interest in winning or can't because the refs will not allow it then at least play the prospects and dump charot, petry, Rasmussen looked like he didn't even know it was a hockey game. Absolute joke. Complete disaster. You sent husso home? Why did he even make the trip? What a waste of money. I've never seen so many guys play so disinterested. Last time I saw this Bobby Ross was the issue with the Lions. This is a leadership problem. Get serious and get it fixed. Does Lalonde have any emotion at all? Is anyone talking to the nHL about these refs? Why should the fans care, when the team OBVIOUSLY does not? Complete joke.

Did you watch the game with your eyes closed? I saw a few shakey goals to start of the game, but overall we controlled the majority of the offense / game out there today. Husso went home to be with his family / wife (who is expecting a child); there's more important things than hockey lol We scored four straight goals to come back, tie the game, and earn a point. An OT loss is not ideal, but the guys still scored four goals, and put up 40+ shots. I would really like to hear your suggestions on how we improve instantly.

@@seguinryan they scored two goals and two were flukes. It should've been a 4-2 loss in regulation. How to improve instantly? Send charot and Petry to the griffins and bring up anyone else, then find a goalie who doesn't duck out of the way of shots in OT. For starters.

Also I agree with you about Lalonde, the team is never ready at the start of a game and if they do happen to take a lead, they blow it. Also 2-40 something or other on the PowerPlay is coaching, Jeff Petry running the 1st unit…jokes
