What is the difference between a great athlete and the best athlete. Everyone wants to be best but what is the X factor?

I'm so glad you're doing these podcasts. Strongman got me into strength and fitness, so basically strongman saved my life. Having a bad gym day? Having a bad exercise day? Come home, see a Giants Live podcast uploaded, sorted!

Magnus Ver, you are an inspiration. I've been a fan of strongman since the early 1990's and you were ALWAYS the man to beat. Calm, positive, good sense of humour, incredibly strong, fast and agile. I hope to visit Iceland one day!

I never understood my friends that went for max weight every week and get injured and not be able to train for a couple weeks. This is why Doug Hepburn's method is so great for building strength.

I'd love to hear one with Gerrit Badenhorst, he was such a character back in the day.

I love when Magnus says “Brian performed better than he has in years last year” im glad they give him credit! He is always one of the best! Only one point away from the win! I wonder who did his programming last year. Must’ve been a pretty cool guy 🧐

I could listen to Magnus Ver Magnusson talk about strongman all day long! Great guest! Legend! Would love to see Geoff Capes as a guest.

Magnus, such a sweet guy yet SO powerful! Even when he and Kaz met up 2 do the hurkules event, he have such humility towards Kaz saying they had a 10 year difference! I believe Bill Kaz didn't come to loose, but the 2 men really engaged so nicely! A true testament of amazing sportsmanship 😊❤

OD Wilson was the original mass monster, 6’ 7” 420 lbs, he WAS the World’s Strongest Man in 1990 & gave us a look at what strongman would be like with the likes of Thor & Brian Shaw. I believe Brian Shaw even once said OD was an inspiration to him. Edit: 11:11 it’s hilarious how Colin says Ted was ONLY 7’ 1”

He lives.... wow. Magnus was definitely on our tv. I don't remember how he looked at all hahah. I saw old pictures in the thumbnail. Had to click the most recent. Very cool. The old strongman events were so cool. I should be lifting. Not texting. The end. :)

Seems crazy but 2009 was stacked! They put Brian and Zydrunas into the same group and the other groups were hard as well - Ortmayer, Uncle Loz, Terry...

I dont want to slate Magnus for his accomplishments or his opponents he can only beat those he's against but I think his era of strongman was some of the worst years because a lot of them were bodybuilders and gym goers where as the strongmen over the last 12-14 years are more focused on strongman training and powerlifters even the 70s and 80s were better 90s were just blah in my view
