Kaz, you're the strongest strongman of all-time in my book! Been a fan of yours for over 30 years! Had you been given the opportunity to compete beyond 1982, you would have been a 7-time WSM winner (1980-1986). Had it not been for your injuries during competition, you could have extended that reign well into the 1990's!
@craigwheeler47602 жыл бұрын
That's not even debatable. Kaz was so far ahead of his time, he actually got BANNED from the sport. That's never happened before or since. He had the Kareem Abdul Jabbar problem. Kareem single-handily ruined the NBA's popularity in the 1970's. The only 2 guys going that saved the NBA during the 70's were DR.J and Pete Maravich. It's cuz Kareem was so dominant it got boring.

Bill Kazmaier. The only man that got banned from WSM for being exceedingly strong that erazed every competition. What a legend. I wonder how many titles he would have won if he had been allowed to compete for all his prime time. GOAT.

@@shawnthomas7404 I don’t think it is. We were robbed slightly with his absence in ‘83 because we could have seen kaz do the 18” deadlift again the worlds best power lifters.

Kaz will forever be a legend in strongman. He’s the first man I watched and looked up to when I started competing at 15. His intensity was and still is unrivaled.

He was the most fun to watch. His charisma was amazing. He is still the only man I've ever seen throwing 170 lbs barrels from 4-6 feet away into a truck bed. He was chucking those like beach balls!

Kaz is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Worlds three times World's Strongest man and a true Gentleman of the old school. Kaz is the greatest. Bill Kazmier is the greatest. Kaz also talked about his friend Grandmaster Strongman Dennis Rogers and how super strong Dennis is and that Dennis has strength from a higher power.

5:20 bill's probably talking about tommy heslep? he was radzi's size, had absolutely remarkable grip strength, religious man. he bent nails, ripped decks of cards etc. like nothing. he's also one of the few certified athletes ever to have closed the captains of crush #4. edit: oops it was dennis rogers i guess.

6:00 -- Paul Wren was a Presbyterian Minister who also Power lifted in the 1980's. He was a 900 lbs squatter. The remarkable thing about Paul is that he would lift 40-60 lbs per lift heavier in the meet than what he trained with. That's why Kaz says he had special religious powers. 10:00 -- The original guy to bend horseshoes into shapes was a old strongman named Paul Anderson of Georgia, USA. He had a part in a comedy movie where he played a blacksmith in a old western town. He was bending and shaping horseshoes and stuff into different funny shapes. This guy still holds the world record for most weight lifted in one attempt -- 6270 lbs back lift. Kaz didn't even come close. His best was like 4800 lbs.

In my mind Bill is the strongest man in the world, when you think about how dominant he was in the 80’s even aside from his 3x wins. Had he been given the opportunity he would’ve been unbeatable for many years and acquired many more wsm titles. There are very few these days who have come close to him in that aspect as far as dedication to training and being so far beyond his competitors.
