There aren’t even words for her level of depth and intricacy. She was a treasure that got stolen from the world. Those three women together were the holy trinity of music, I can only imagine how different things would be today if she was able to finish the journey with them. Left eye forever ❤️

T-Boz helped write this song. It was a poem she wrote while in the hospital. After seeing a episode of Ricky Lake where the men were referring to woman as "fat pigs" and other disgusting things. Gave the poem to their producer Dallas to turn into a song. I love this song. I grew up with TLC being my favorite songs to listen to. I loved them. T-boz and her unique low, sultry voice, Left Eye and her adorableness, and Chilli with the ability to look sexy no matter what she wore or did. Way more to them than that obviously. Left Eye was an amazing person. So much more to her than I ever knew. i watched a documentary called "The Last Days of Left Eye" it's tons of self recorded type videos, edited to make a documentary. She had an incredible mind and soul. I highly recommend watching it. It changed my life.

It was insane, how versatile in sound & style this group was. From Hip Hop, to jazz, to pop, to this track here that really shocked a lot of us in incorporating a bit of rock to an R&B sound. TLC had no limits when it came to creativity in music, style, & message. Even with Left Eye's passing they STILL carry on her memory in performances to this day. That's love & loyalty right there, a true girl group of friendship & family.

This song helped me so much when it came out. I listen to it every now and then when I’m feeling insecure about myself. It reminds me that I’m alright the way I am. I was devastated when Lisa was killed in that accident. This was one of my favorite groups when I was a teenager. Thank you TLC for reminding me that I don’t need outsiders to tell me that I’m beautiful and that I don’t need no scrubs.
