I've loved pretty much everything these two geniuses have done over the last 8 years, hard rock VersaEmerge, acoustic VersaEmerge, the VersaEmerge version of _Santa Baby_, electronic VersaEmerge, VERSA, Critter, Pvris' _White Noise_ (which Blake produced), Alyssa Bernal's _Wasted Love_ (which Sierra co-wrote), Wrongchilde's _Dance to Your Heartbeat_ (which Sierra featured on), despite (or perhaps because of) the wide range of styles.

Although I hated it when the band went to electro-pop (if you can even call it that. Not a genre expert), this song ended up being in my 5 songs from them. I swear to god I was so looking forward to a new album like around 2012 or something, because they had something. They a HUGE opportunity to become remotely big. Being featured on MTV's World of Jenks show and the rise of Paramore at the time, I wonder why they didn't make it as big. Sierra has a mind that seems like an endless realm of mystery. You can never fully understand the lyrics as they always come out in a deeper sense than most bands could. I have to say, I'm glad I got to be around when they were well and truly out there. Hell, I even went to see them in Atlanta and met both Blake and Sierra. It was the first ever concert I wanted to go see, so it felt like my first ever concert. It's funny how a couple of months before the concert I grew old of them just a bit. Needless to say it changed very much after the concert. It was so funny how as we were waiting to get inside, Blake was just standing around with a reeses bar. It took me a good 10 minutes to finally say hi as I wasn't sure it was him. I wish I could've controlled the amount of fangirl that came out of me, but at least I wasn't like some others. I got their autographs on a shirt I bought. Me and Sierra actually had something in common, we both knew Andrew Jenks. My cousin actually was a producer for his show and they were kinda in a secret relationship. Long story short she brought him over to my cousin's wedding reception and I got to meet him. It was one of the greatest memories I will probably ever have. When I met Sierra, we connected even though it was for only 3 minutes before others started to meet her. I don't know, it just felt like me and her had been friends for a little while. All of this aside, I am very sad to see them go as they never released another album. I said it before and I'll say it again, they had something, they were unlike a lot of bands out there. All I wish they did other than that was to stick with what they did with their EPs and FAZ. Anyways, thank you VersaEmerge/Versa for becoming one of my all time favorite bands and giving me the memories I have to cherish today. I love you guys. LoVE Grant.
