I met Yngwie in 2005 during his Unleash the Fury tour. I brought a Steeler album with me and he geeked out over it. He signed it, gave me a few guitar picks and then talked with me for a while. At the show he said what’s up from the stage and threw me a pick. He’s a cool dude.

Listened on your first record sometime in the 80'ies. A friend who was studying music (piano) in Moscow bought it there and the record was a gift to another friend. We would sit there for hours just trying to comprehend what was going on there musically. Without ever hearing about you before I said then and there, "I hear maestro Paganini only on a Stratocaster". Thank you for making this world a little better place for us mortals Yngwie. Just got a 2021 Fender Yngwie Malmsteen model guitar! Was on the waiting list a long time for a new one and when I got an email saying it was available I jumped on the chance and bought it the same day, the next day they were sold out again and I see why, not only is he an amazing guitar player he has designed one of the best guitars in the world, love this guitar ,like him, it is like nothing else! Best guitar I have ever played or owned!!

Yngwie you inspired me to play guitar when I was growing up on the 80s and I became bettter than most all my friends and local players. People either love it or envy it it seems. I since found Jesus and got saved "born again" spiritually and humbled myself. One of my favorite Christian bands is Golden Ressurectoin from several years ago their guitarist has your influence for sure. Maybe you could write a new song for Jesus? God Bless man I hope we have guitar in Heaven it would be such a pleasure to honor Jesus with it as well. 🙏☝️👍

I remember the first time I heard Black Star off your first album back in 86. I knew I was listening to something totally unheard of. With EVH setting the bar, you set it even higher, then all your clones(I won't name them) came after. You are still totally original, one of a kind and FAST! I have seen many concerts in my life, but the best two I've ever watched was Malmsteen and Steve Vai and both in the same "small" venue in Portugal almost 20 years ago! Anniversary this year of Yngwie's first album Rising Force. There's really only 4 other guitarists that moved the boundaries of modern rock guitar and I know who those other 4 are. Always worth watching how to practice your scales...if your serious about it that is. 🎸🇬🇧🙉🙊🙈😎
