To be fair, I think that's because Toast frequently plays an ignorant part or asks questions as if he was from a position he doesn't agree with. For instance, with recycling they generally agreed about the actual issue.

Too bad it doesn't actually do jack shit because the concept of an individual carbon footprint was invented by BP to shift the blame off of corporations and onto the consumer. Not existing reduces global emissions by about a second. Without killing everyone on Earth, it is not an individual's fault for that second if net zero is wanted.
