Thank you so much for talking about sexism in gaming because I have dealt with this so much & it feels good knowing bigger voices will bring attention to it to help a broader audience understand how we feel.
@KnightRiderOfVoid2 жыл бұрын
Real talk here, not trying to be mean or anything. I have a question. We all know man have more drive in general to do crazy things and be stupidly disciplined even by the wrong motivations. For example name 3 girls with the aim of shroud amd the grinding of Ray_C of xQc, you'd be hard pressed to find that much women like that, and I'm sure there's a lot of men VERY close or superior to those I wrote. And that applies to pretty much every activity, there are some things men are just more willing to sacrifice in general so women would be almost invisible if we were to reward the best and not make a distinction by gender. Having said all that, isn't it better for womem to be recognised as gamers AND women instead of just as gamers? By the logic of equality people like Jodi said herself, wouldn't be recognized at all because in valorant or any game she's played, she doesn't have the same drive most men have and she'd be WAY below the average high profile streamer. I'm all for respecting and empowering women. I of couse have a mom, am a full grown ass man who's had respectful and relationships with women, I also grew up being the youngest of 5, all of them except for me being women. I feel women have to accept we are different, most men already know that, so that's why I say women are the ones who have to accept and embrace or differences. There are a lot of things most women are better at than men, so it's not about men being superior or anything, we are just different, most highly successful and wealthy CEOs are men not by causality, they jusy have some qualities most prople don't have, either men or women, but it's a fact that it's most likely to be men because of the compromises and extremes they are willing to walk that most women won't. There are obviously a lot of women who have the strength, dive, intellect or anything to match and even outpace the most successful man in a lot of areas, take tge CEO of AMD for example, she's amazing. But that's a minority and it's fine, we like her, it doesn't have to be seen as inferior because she is one of the few to make it that far. Anyway, I got carried away but I'll leave it as is because I think it's a good thought. I'm more inclined to pursue equity as a society instead of equality. The same opportunities while embracing and acknowledging our differences. I think the pursue of equality creates more toxicity than the problems it solves, because it's unrealistic and just the wrong approach to a lot of things in life, not only sexism. What do you think about all that OP? I'm curious
@krazymeanie2 жыл бұрын
@@KnightRiderOfVoid Couldn't agree more
@0h_mur_gurd6362 жыл бұрын
@@KnightRiderOfVoid I'm not OP, bit ignoring the fact that you felt the need to write all of this and the "every activity" comment, men, undeniably are more apt on average than women in terms of physical feats, but any claim beyond that such as whether men are smarter or have "more drive" is coming straight out of your ass. There isn't even a quantifiable way for you to measure that. You mention Lisa Su as a minority in CEO positions of major companies while ignoring the fact that opportunities for women to take up such roles only became possible as recent as the 20th century. Hell, if you had based your argument on something like reaction time, which has biological backing, maybe your argument wouldn't be so flawed; yet, you chose to base it off of drive... I think maybe you need to take a step back and reevaluate your "I'm definitely not sexist" claim and think about what drove you to go this far and to truly believe that somehow women are inferior in drive and motivation.

@jackbui29442 жыл бұрын
@@0h_mur_gurd636 I wouldn't say it's entirely, but mostly out of his ass. Men and women have different wants and needs. It can be seen statistically in college majors. Women pick a major, and men pick a different one. I wouldn't call it drive though, but that can be a factor i guess? Men, statisically do numbers more of overtime compared to their counterparts.
