Danny’s solo shows David Gilmour’s influence on her…a solo is usually better when you make the guitar cry, rather than scream with 1/32nd (!) notes!! Also, notice that Danny sings that wail at the end of the song here and at the end of Dust to Dust--another element tying them together and making this a circular story that goes back to the beginning. It’s absolutely brilliant, and it came from teenagers!

You guys did great on this series! My favorite song, PSYCHOTIC, seemed to be yours as well, but then how can you not love cheerleader punk. If you're interested at all in their first album, XXI Century Blood, there is a pro-shot live performance of the album at the Dakota Bar that is very good. Their OMV for the title song is also an epic video that tells a story and sends us all a warning. The first Spanish song they did, Narcisista, is also a must-see, especially the version from the performance at Foro Didi. And anything you didn't do already from the Teatro Metropolitan performance is just as great as those you have seen. Hope you guys continue on, I appreciate your knowledge and insights as musicians.

Glad you guys enjoyed as much as you did. There are soooo many directions you can go now... There is still a bunch of songs from Error, the latest album which you haven't heard yet so you could get more recent (any of the recent live at Metropolitan CDMX videos you haven't seen yet are great). There's also their reimagined version of "Enter Sandman" (Metropolitan is best). "Narcisista" live at Foro DiDi is a single, one of my favourite songs with Pau leading a rebuttal song against some critics, their first song in Spanish. You could linger in QOTMS for a while with different versions: acoustic Sinister Smiles, acoustic Hunter, acoustic The End (all from the same pro-shot session), Metropolitan Dust to Dust, Dull Knives De(Tour), acoustic Dull Knives at their home on their first piano, Ale lead singing on Hunter (not pro-recording though). You could go back in time to look at their first full length album - Dakota Bar live concert videos on the official channel are best for these: "Exterminated" and "Copper Bullets" are my faves for rockers, "Show Me the Light" and "Black Holes" are compulsory viewing ballads (Pau), and "When I'm Alone" is Dany's sad song, also compulsory! Their TEDx appearances are amazing particularly the second one, in 2017 (the song Survive is best if you don't want to do all three songs). Title track "XXI Century Blood" of their first full album was their first proper music video. Or you could go down a more miscellaneous route... Pau solo at the piano is always beautiful - her cover of Radiohead "Creep", the triple song video of "Black Holes" (do the Dakota Bar version first), "Stalker", "The End". Dany sometimes plays guitar on 'Dany days' (the best day!) and there are some great recordings out there too of her solo. A live cover of "Atlas Rise". Their cover of "Pretender" by Foo Fighters is great too. Even further back in time has their 2014 cover of "Enter Sandman" which went viral and put them on the radar. Even older again has the video of 10 year old Pau doing a Kelly Clarkson's drum cover of "My Life Would Suck" (it's very impressive btw). I think that will do for now. These girls grew up performing in the internet era, there is just so much to see!

Thank you, Chris and Sam. Great ending to the tragic story of the queen, masterfully created and interpreted by the Villarreal sisters. The song is very good, but its effect is magnified by being the end of the whole story. The album is much more than the sum of its individual songs and for this reason, in my opinion, it surpasses in artistic merits recent and better finished creations of the band.

Nice Reaction Again Guys! It's sad that this was The End of that great album. They do some Acoustic versions of some of the songs though, like Hunter. You need to react to Black Holes. Pau wrote it at 13 and performs it on the piano (so no drums). The song is about addiction and she sings it from the viewpoint of the addict. There are 2 good live versions, The Dakota Bar and the Whiskey A Go Go. At the Whiskey Pau is about 2 yrs. older and you get to see Dany do her short guitar solo. It's an emotional song and Pau really will blow your mind with her performance!

Wow every time. I've heard the whole album many times, and watched this show many more. It never gets old, and it always amazes me how three kid sisters came to be a fantastic rock band. They just ROCK! Dany's guitar work on this is epic. Pau's vocals are anthemic. Ale's bass lines, piano, and vocal harmonies are on point. They finished so nicely here. I understand that Ale slept for a couple of days after this, as the concert came after a long, long stretch of very stressful, very long days for all of them.

Thanks for doing this wonderful album in its entirety! As for what to do next I highly recommend "Martiro" from Teatro CDMX on their official channel, it's in Spanish but man is it epic! "Narcisista" from En Vivo en Foro DiDi Monterrey which was their first song in spanish and is basically a big middle finger to their critics who panned them for only singing in english. And the OMV for "XXI Century Blood" which is an incredible music video before you even consider how young they were and that they made it completely independently from any label help (or influence).

I mentioned this song in an earlier video of yours, and I'll say it again... this is my absolute *FAVORITE* song from the whole album. Plus I'm a sucker for rock ballads anyway, so there's that. Just the combination of Pau's emotional vocals, Dany's 'Gilmouresque' solos, and Ale's vocal backups and soulful bass line.. it has it all, and of course the story loops back around to the beginning.😉 *Thank you guys for putting time into this production, and doing a really worthwhile breakdown of each song.* 😍👍 It means a lot to all of us, and it will also help you understand why these young ladies are so special, especially at their ages at the time this was recorded, and the fact that they were dealing with lack of oxygen at high altitude (Mexico City is around 7500 ft. if I remember correctly). I've lived in the high desert in western New Mexico for half my life, so I know what they were dealing with! Their home town of Monterrey averages around 17-1800 ft., so that's a pretty big change to deal with. It definitely affects your vocals, and the amount of energy you can expend at any one time.😳

I can't watch a Pau ballad without a tear in my eye. I do believe our psychotic young lady took her own life at the end - I don't believe the girls ever confirmed that though. In an era where most music is mass produced and "artists" can't even perform their songs live, we have TW. I am so hooked, I think I need a 12 step program. Now that "Keep Me Fed" is close to being released, you can see the influence of them being signed by a major label, but even with over produced studio tracks (IMO), they are experimenting with new sounds yet still sounding like TW. One thing they have continued to do is incorporate many styles, even into single songs. QOTMS will aways be my go to album - the vinyl version has a libretto of sorts. In it, the lyrics in chapter one are neatly written and my the 3d and 4th acts, they are scribbled and blood stained and all over the place... Yes, they were all sent to music school. They are all trained on keys. But creativity like this can't be trained. They are more than prodigies. They are top musicians, they are driven to succeed, they are perfectionists, and they apparently love what they do - and being siblings, they have that magical ablity to know each other so well, no words need to be spoken. Thank you sisters, thank you.

Speaking of the circular nature of the story, they just recently released Dust to Dust live from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022. Another fun one to revisit is QOTMS live from Irving TX in 2022 where Dany receives a very special gift from one of her idols. A few other things you guys might enjoy as a way to get to know them as people and what they're about as musicians. in 2016/2017 they did two TEDx talks where they performed 3 songs each and discussed their early start in the music industry between songs. then there is the Tidal Rising documentary where they discuss their journey up to recording their third and latest album Error. and finally, their Mayday in the Making docu series of 6 videos each about 5 mins long where you hear from the girls as well as record execs, producer David Bendeth, their parents, and manager.

Enjoyed your reaction to the whole series and look forward to more of The Warning! Suggest any of their recent pro-shot videos from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show on their channel. 😎👍

This piece of true art was epic to close this masterful concept-album on a high. I may be wrong but I cannot get out of my mind that, perhaps unconsciously, some who react to TW and are musicians feel some professional jealousy and for this reason they are finding similarities between TW's creations and those of other bands, pretending with This detracts from the originality of a piece of art. I hope this is not your case guys. Otherwise this was an entertaining reaction and I thank you both. I will be attentive to your next TW reactions. Greetings from Mexico!!

The first time I listened to this song it too reminded me of Listen to your Heart by Roxette, but I've since listened to it and it is just a passing resemblance. I guess that's just something that happens the more songs you know, since most music is related, one way or another. It has been a blast revisiting this amazing album with you guys, please don't stop there!

The girls had a vlog series on their channel where they go into how they wrote the album and song meanings. The song before this was from the pov of the grim reaper who is hunting the queen because she's doing his job, and he ends up killing her, then she sings this song as she dies, and then it actually circles back to Dust to Dust which is actually the Queen already dead giving the prologue. They're vlogs #23, 25,&26 if you're interested in watching them. No need to react to them if you don't want, just thought yall would be interested to hear the stories.

Thanks for the content. I really enjoyed this QotMS series. Loved that you guys took the time to read a little snippet about each song, to help you understand a bit about the story, as well as reading comments from the individual videos. It's something you don't often see with reactors. On a side note, I just want to also say that I have very much enjoyed your own music as well. My head is always boppin' while watching one of your videos (especially enjoy the live garage performances) or listening to you on Spotify. Peace! 🤘

If you want another concept album to do a series about I can recommend Unleash The Archers - Apex and Abyss albums. Unfortunately no live playthru like this and not all songs have videos and the videos aren't really related to the story. But they are a wonderful pair of concept albums

You should do Unmendable from their second Ted Talk. Paulina was only 14 but I think that was her most impressive drum performance.

The riff at the 9:30 mark you said reminds you of Heart reminds me of the last minute of the Styx song 'Half-Penny Two-Penny'. The bridge at the 12:20 mark where they sing 'Oh. Oh, Oh' gives me Aerosmith - Dream On vibes.

Dany's lost at the end of this song. She's so deep into it. Musicians will know that look but it only happens a few times in a lifetime for most of us. For The Warning it's a regular occurrence. DPA rock.....

While the "start over/again" lyrical tie may have been either subconscious or just pure coincidence, from a story perspective the link _is_ still there - "Dust to Dust" is the funeral precipitated by "The End". So it *does* cycle back, regardless of the lyric similarity... (Also, when Pau initially presents a song idea, she does an initial "layout" on piano before showing it to her sisters. Ale and Dany then spend a significant amount of effort convincing her that it _shouldn't_ be a ballad... except perhaps for the times it should be. 😋 )
