People complain about inaccuracies and Rami's eye colour and so on should get a life. This is an entertainment piece, not a documentary. Artistic license has been taken with the full approval of the surviving members of Queen and Freddie's family. They aren't bothered that timelines were changed or modified, or that Rami didn't wear brown contact lenses. The film entertains, it informs, it celebrates and it captures the essence of Freddie and the band. It's two hours of cinema, not an exact science in which every detail, event and so on has to be absolutely accurate.
@nairrui63226 жыл бұрын

I wonder too if the brown contacts made him look less like Freddie? Anyway it didn't bother me. I don't mind the creative differences they made. I was there to celebrate Freddie's life and career. Freddie is a legend and will always be!
@teaber6 жыл бұрын
I was ok with artistic licence most of the time, and certainly the eye colour did not bother me. The one thing that did bother me was the massive timeline change of having him finding out about the disease and telling the band before Live Aid. They gave to that performance an entirely difference significance.

At hotel restaurant in Kalamazoo, MI - when were were going back and forth to get hot drinks since we were standing in line for the "general admission" show at 8 p.m. and got out there at, like 8 AM to make sure we were first -- and we were not the only ones standing there, either - but it was January and very cold -- my friend went across the parking lot to hotel and came back and grabbed me and said -- you have to come with me to the hotel -- and some nice people agreed to save our place in line... then she explained why she dragged me away - the band was in the restaurant... so we sat there and tried to figure out what to say... how and when to approach - you know, don't interrupt the meal, but don't wait until they're on the way out the door.... etc... anyway -- this could be a very long story, but we finally managed to get up our courage and ask for their autographs... and Freddie immediately broke the stupid little pencil that the desk clerk had given us -- threw it over his shoulder and said "oh, it's dead - get me another one...." -- we stood there shocked, while someone else came up with a pen, and the rest of the band chatted with us, while they passed around the paper to sign... and when it got to Brian, he said "Oh, ought we to sign TWO?" -- and we were again all "duh -- yes, please!" - much more was said, and then we kind of ran away to get back in line... and when we did finally get into the show and RIGHT in front (of course) - each of them kind of gave us a nod and a smile from stage (well, except for Roger, who of course couldn't see us from his drum kit) - but it was magical....

72 year old grandma - I had teenagers during the 80's and heard the music, have seen the movie twice. First time I watched for differences in Rami and Freddie - fake teeth too big, Rami more buff that Freddie in arms and shoulders - by the middle of the first trip through the second just lost myself in the music and the story. What a loss when Freddie passed. Planning another trip to the theatre before it leaves the area it was so well done.

I appreciate that the interviewer gave Gwylim Lee plenty of questions on Brian May. I've been binge watching interviews and I get kind of irritated when there are multiple cast members in an interview, but 80% is about Rami/Freddie. Queen was about 4 guys who needed and loved each other. They were family. Yes, Freddie Mercury is incomparable and Rami Malek was incredible in this role. But there's so much more to the story and the actors were all amazing. Really happy to see an interviewer who understood the full width and depth of the movie... and the band itself.

It’s a true testament to this movie that I haven’t seen a single negative comment about it yet. And rightly so. It’s amazing 👏👏👏👌

Shame they never mentioned the interviewer's name in the video, she's great! One of the few female interviewers who isn't annoying. Would love to see more of her work.

Dilara Salikh true some were annoying but this one, she listen and talk but doesn’t interrupt Them...

Don't see where female interviewers are any more annoying than male interviewers

Or just interviewers in general?

Really hope there's a side by side comparison of the real Live Aid and movie Live Aid when Bohemian Rhapsody hits blu-ray. I wanna see both side by side to see if the movie got the angles right.
@Churrosmash6 жыл бұрын
Alex Estrada they didn’t put their entire remake of live Aid in the film, but what they did put in, is damn near identical, all the way down to Freddie / Rami sending a kiss to the camera for his family. Rami studied the performance for a very long time to be sure to get all of Freddie’s moves included. It’s actually incredible how well he did recreating Freddie

Kylie Voyda yeah I realize they took out a song or two. I saw an interview Rami did where he said they even did Crazy Little Thing Called Love, so I’m hoping maybe the blu-Ray has an extended cut of it where they show all the songs Queen played that day.

Alex Estrada i have heard there is an extended cut, fingers crossed the whole performance will be in!

There's a channel on here (can't remember the name) that does side by side comparisons for remakes, and biopics vs real life. If you're interested I'll search my subs list and forward the name.
