Great advice to have two passports. I've been trading crypto for a long time mostly as a hobby but have been making a lot of money lately. Being in the US and specifically the most hostile state to Cryptocurrency New York I have a really hard time buying and selling crypto because most platforms aren't allowed to operate here. Fortunately my parents are Egyptian and when I was studying in Cairo I was able to get an Egyptian passport which not only allows me easy access to buying crypto but all the latest crypto services like high yield savings account and lots of leverage. I actually found Nomad Capitalist through the Egyptian passport video and have since been researching moving because I could live so inexpensively elsewhere.

The Green Party's election program in Germany also wants to make taxation based on citizenship, as well as making it difficult or impossible to leave Germany for tax reasons. I wish I were already a seven-figure entrepreneur. I'm still working on it.

You are based in Bogotá? That’s awesome, I live here and I’m starting to escalate my investments in crypto and I’m trying to figure out what is the best option to live somewhere else, I hate the idea of paying taxes here and knowing that all the money that we pay is being robbed by the corrupt government, also the situation here is getting worse day by day, the security, general conditions of the economy, the new tax laws the government is trying to impose, in general it’s not looking good for us Colombians. I’m starting to make my plan in order be a nomad for several years living off the yields of my crypto investments, do you have any advice?

Hey Andrew, here is the question that is concerning 98% of "western world" middle class. I am not 7-8 figure entrepreneur (it would be nice problem to have though). I worked my fingers to the bone for better part of 3 decades. How can I protect that little something that I have accumulated from stupid government policies without renouncing citizenship? Keeping crypto on foreign exchange and/or hard wallet? How can I open foreign bank account without leaving Sydney/Auckland/Toronto/Cleveland?

Interesting to hear him but no good for raising kids and have a family. Many years ago I read a dictum in which a German Leader was told not to bet against USA but he ignored the advice with grave consequences to himself and his nation. I still adhere to that advice despite the low that USA is hitting now. I can not take my riches after I die and my kids can not enjoy it unless they deserve it so there is no fun in going to the extremes that this Nomad is advocating. It is fun only for tasting different life styles but I would rather be grounded in one place.

Summing up this channel in one phrase..."oh the poor rich". I share some libertarian values too but the REALITY is rich find tons of ways to evade taxes legally while the poor have no such choice. But the rich cry out aloud how they're taxed at a mythical 40%, which they never pay, and expect you to sympathize with them. Blanket attacking AOC with no nuance showed this dude's true colors. Its sad that he has such rage against a congresswoman's policy opinions for her country, a country this guy wilfully left.
@MrSteviewonder33 жыл бұрын
Man, you really are living in a bubble. Your comment about 250k and above makes you look very arrogant. Only 2% Americans are over 250k. Just because your clients meet this minimum , doesn’t mean most do. There certainly should be a tax increase for top 2% earners
@zonk14773 жыл бұрын
Crypto has gone nuts. I had 50k turn to over 700k since 14 months ago. It's happen so fast. It could all crash to zero now. I have no way to lock that in without having a $300,000 tax bill. I don't know what to do other than hold. And even though I meet their requirement now. Without a job or some other source of income I I don't think I can rely on this windfall. Crypto is so volatile and this could easily lose 90%. Then all the sudden I would no longer meet the 250k requirement.

TAX INCREASE! The only reasonable approach is a flat tax of no more than 5%-10% of what one makes and REGARDLESS of what one makes. Get off the communist train that only leads to ruin for all every time.
