10:56 could have been a "Look in the mirror and think about life" cliche, but it didn't turn out that way. 11:04 could have been a "Older girls pick on a younger girl" Cliche. It turned out great in the end and added to her wanted a more femenine dynamic. They just dodged 2 cliches flawlessly and I give kudos to the screenwriter for this Also, 12:35 is probably the best scene that was filmed by an amazing cinematographer. They both look trapped, symmetry, diversity in colors, rule of thirds broken a bit to a genius degree. Best scene in the film. Adds both to story and the look of the film.

In that scene they're as far away from one another as possible in a shot, illustrating their emotional distance. And those yellow bars definitely add to the sense if being trapped.

HR channel I only judge by skill. Men are just biologically more fit than women so they will do most likely do better.
@cathmarieantoinette7 жыл бұрын
True, that's why women and men play in different leagues, same with every discipline. No sexism here, only biology.
@anal10097 жыл бұрын
cathmarieantoinette Even if you see that then women just have to work harder that's all. Age old excuse as to woman couldn't play. "Oh they are too delicate!" That's what society was made you to think. I've seen some truly ripped women and of course they are glorified in the community that's all about muscle-building. Let women try things, no matter the occasion, but don't get all defense like that man in the video did when the kid pushed the girl. The man knew damn well then even if the girl was a boy, the person would still call it out. I don't think there would be sexism, if women and men played in the same ledge with the same weight class. Where you put skill to the rest. Ever heard of a transgender man who wasn't allowed to play in the men's wrestling of his state and they made him play in the woman's. He went to state and everyone was surprised and pissed. Truly sad society is stuck in its old ways.
@anal10097 жыл бұрын
99% There is also no such thing as men being 'biologically fit'. You are fit if you put in work, it doesn't always happen magically. Men were made for hunting, but ever heard of evolution and society as we know it. Women were made to care for young, but carrying heavy young meant they had to have a stronger back and thus why woman are also flexible. Also.. Ever heard of body types? Body types like runners are usually small and they weight less. Body types for wrestling are usually ones that put on muscle easily. Whilst the ones that are prone to putting on fat usually still have a chance in either, just that's it's harder.
@cathmarieantoinette7 жыл бұрын
It's different at schools, usually there are no football teams for girls and sometimes girls play with boys. If a woman wants to be a professional football player, she can play with other women! Female leagues aren't 'worse'! Women can play/train whatever they want. Transgender people are different, proffesional sport is not about feelings, it would be unfair for 'normal' female players/athletes to make them compete with trans women with different bones, muscles, hormones, metabolism etc. "I don't think there would be sexism, if women and men played in the same ledge with the same weight class" - it would be because biology. Imagine American football game, women vs. men.

That means when I run, I have to think harder than other kids. That's why I run slow. The past few weeks, we have been doing football. At first, I wanted to use my condition as an excuse to not play. But now, I love football. I don't watch it, I play it. My teacher knows about my condition, but it is more worse than she thinks. It comes to surprise how well I do. That's why I have got so much recognition from my parents. :) I am doing well, I am a happy and healthy girl! Edit: Thanks for all the kind replies! :) My condition is called dispraxia.

I used to love soccer. It was really big at my school. I enjoyed it a lot and played it at recess. Whenever I would do something good, or perform well, they would say, "Pretty good... for a girl" It made me feel horrible and sometimes they bullied me so much I thought death didn't sound so bad. I stopped playing soccer one haven't played since. Edit: Thanks for all the supportive comments guys, it means more than you think! I started playing soccer again and I’m really enjoying it!

oh just the fact that he tried to get her to stop doing the thing she loves cuz she's a girl and then she had the image in her head that she has to act a certain way and it basically destroyed her. oh but its no big deal

I really appreciated the realism of this film. Growing into adulthood can be such an awkward, confusing time, and so often, the confusion scariness of it all is taken out on the parents, in exactly the way she took it out on her father. Beautifully well done film that really got to the heart of adolescence!
