I'd trust Paddy faster than I'd trust John. John too often likes to play the know-all academic type, when he most certainly isn't. Paddy is always himself, no matter who's in company. I've met both men, granted years ago.

I appreciate the fact though that Paddy, while disappointed, didn't just stay and let that turn into an unproductive conflict, but decided to walk away and build sth of his own instead. Too many people who feel like they've been wronged hold a grudge and stay in that conflict forever without moving on, hoping for an apology or resolution that'll never come, instead of accepting that sometimes stuff happens, it can be frustrating, but in the end, you're better off looking at what to do next.

To me I believe both of them, Both John and Paddy come across as exceptional humans, sometimes these things happen in life. I’m sure neither of them meant any harm in their actions during it was going on, and it’s nice to see that no malice is happened. True gentlemen. Everybody should take note to be honest, and the media should stop trying to divert it into a back and fourth spat.

Like paddy was saying about wanting a mixed martial arts set up in Finglas, it's the same in Coolock were mixed martial arts would be perfect for our youth, and would help immensely into getting kids off the streets and away from drugs, it's actually sad that those at the top don't see this & implement it to better our country 🇮🇪.. i would like to hear the other side of this. i always think john kavanagh interviews well, even if i'd heard stories that he can be a bit of an odd fish (idolizing ben shaprio?). paddy seems like someone with a good heart, but he is an intense passionate individual, and i'd imagine, not the easiest person to be in business with. john has his fingers in many different pies - training conor every now and again, dillon, gunnar, many many other fighters, building and opening his mega gym, trying to get mma approved by sport ireland, running his bellator feeder event. so i'd like to hear john's side as to what he promised, and what paddy actually believed was promised.

@Haitian Xu Kavanagh's job was to prepare McGregor for fights, not to make moral judgements. I'm sure you can do that yourself. The Artem situation was bad form even if the book tour was arranged before the announcement of the fight, but that doesn't make him "a very selfish and profit driven individual". Owen Roddy is also a capable trainer.

The strangest thing said by paddy was that when he lost a fight John didn’t feel how he felt. As a coach you can’t get as emotional as the fighter when they lose. If a coach has 80 fighters he’s get down and angry every time one of his fighter lose the then he would constantly be down. As a coach you need objectivity so you can be clear minded for all of your other fighters. That’s a very emotional thing for paddy to say. A ridiculous expectation to have of your coach.

John kavanagh and SPG Ireland in general is the most overrated mma gym in the world. Even their biggest star is overrated by the masses but also the teams overall record in general. Granted western Europe as a whole is bereft of talented marital artists but even then there are much better gyms in western Europe then SPG Ireland.

I agree I was a member at SBG HQ a few years ago and spent roughly 5 months there. It felt more like a business rather than an academy, which I didn't enjoy at all. I left to join a BJJ academy near by where I acquired my blue belt. And since then took up Thaiboxing.

Paddy I respect what u do for the kids but u weren’t even average and rode on Connors coat tails so dry the old lamps there and get on with it.

@@jasonmcdaid2200 nonsense? McGregor went 4 with khabib and out scrambled him in open space to start. And khabib slowly nailed him, only other gassing was vs diaz when he was stupid to think he could knock him out and thew stioid power into everything, anybody gasses doing that. The only other wrestler was Mendes, where his he relied on his gas tank. When you train with some fast twitch guys you will learn. They have good gas tanks but they use so much exploding it duesnt matter. Good luck
