Its amazing, these icon rugby players have laid their body on the line for years, in one of the most physically demanding games in the world, have been critisised, been dissected by the world press, played on the world stage, in front of the cameras which have no mercy, the press, and the armchair pundits, and yet they are so humble, and almost nervous in the light of cameras. its amazing. only rugby can provide such a substance.

Really enjoyed the coverage here, and as an Englishman can I just say good luck to both teams on Saturday, Ireland may well do it, being deserved winners this year.

@@intissarmahjoub6676 judging by what Johnson said, he had no idea what dignitaries were arriving, so no probably not. They're there to play rugby, not be at a board meeting.

When all the dust settles and players retire, it's doesn't matter where they are from. True fans recognise true talent, wherever they are from 👍👍👍👍👍

Great stuff. Martin Johnson was THE greatest England rugby captain EVER. So, him and the Irish great Brian O’Driscal together? Fantastic stuff, cheers!!

Ireland really deserved winners, in a really good place going forward, well done. As for England, sort your first choice players out Eddie, I'll back you but only just!

This coverage is superb. Congrats Ireland! Truly deserved 6N and GS and they are looking like a pretty tasty bet for the RWC if they can maintain their form and consistency. As for England, we have been in steady decline since midway through 2017 6N and this year has really exposed it. I believe we have the players and structure so Eddie needs to develop alternative ways of playing when the game doesn't follow his script. Also apologies for Eddie's comments! He is Australian so sledging is pretty commonplace there and it certainly doesn't echo the views of the English.

Jamie Lee.....Ireland might be a pretty tasty bet for runners up - but that will depend on what half of the draw they're on because they have no chance of beating the All Blacks at a world cup.....All Blacks will complete the three-peat next year....Us here in NZ were getting a little bit worried about England's sudden rise in 2016/2017 but they have faded as fast as they rose and our only real threat is Ireland, who are a great side, but under the pressure of a world cup final or semi against the best team in the world I believe that the Irish will fold.

As far as i could remember both teams went out on to the stadium together. When did we ever get this need to cheer one side more than another? Good grief1 rugby used to be above those things.

Their official name is the British Isles Touring Team. Ireland is, of course, part of the geographic area called the British Isles. It’s not a political term.
