I missed those stitches too…Andrew the Runner Stitcher alerted me. I am glad I was not alone. 🦉😄

Most crafters jump into the deep end of a “New” craft and want all the things to support that new craft.

Each day has been a favorite color and today’s is just gorgeous. Now to get caught up before I get too far behind. Happy stitching and knitting

I got a good laugh (and some alleviation of guilt) from the Loom of Doom story. Something similar happened with me and drums. Newly married, I expressed a desire for a beginner drum set. My husband bought me two kettle drums (likely very appropriate for a beginner, but didn’t fit my idea of a drum SET) and they got very little attention. My rings interfered with using my hands on these drums - I wanted drumsticks! They sat in isolation for almost twenty years before we sold them prior to moving. They went to a music teacher which makes me very happy. Now we’re discussing a CSM - much more likely to be used regularly based on my yarn stash!

Another great floss tube Carolyn and very memory evoking. First off, don't rush into selling your loom. I had a similar thing with a knitting machine. I saw it demonstrated, purchased one and it sat unused gathering dust for a few years. I eventually sold it and then three years later purchased another one, that I used it for many years. I absolutely love the Crystal Christmas chart and if I hadn't already stitched it, I would be bidding for it. But I have a cautionary tale for whoever wins it. I stitched mine back in 2018 and had it framed immediately it was finished. When I went to collect it, I realised I had left off the most important part of the project, the Swarovski Star on the top of the three. Opps! Fortunately my framer kindly took it back out of it's frame so that I could stitch it on and he put it back for me free of charge. Happy Stitching! Sue x

The loom story is so funny … I’ve bought a few untouched tools but luckily none as big as a loom! And yes … they just might be useful!

I too fell into that “I can do this” phase with several crafts. I recently sold (at a loss) my rug hooking frame and I too love the craft, but not to do or spend that money on items I’ll never enjoy in my home. I have a room with fabric bought years ago, never used for quilting yet, though I have made quilts. Just went too overboard in fabric shops….lol. Now I joined a non profit group selling items made out of cardstock & recycled cards for local cancer care. Of course I had to buy some items to do that craft. I love watching your videos especially the ones with Kerri. I do some cross stitching as well as crochet & pathetic knitting. Wishing you and yours a wonderful season 🥂🎄

Ah! Having the time to weave vs. making the time. I inherited a loom from my mother and have woven a single table runner on it. It was enjoyable(it was a kit). I bought yarn to weave a cape…fabric to sew a cape. I have not done so….I feel you! I am also 71 yrs young and time flies so we’ll see it I do it soon or not. Fun! ( I also knit, quilt and stitch…) Good luck finding the time🧓🏻

I do enjoy that you have sent these stitch boxes out and then explain items that arise, like using a previous day's floss to complete the stitching on a different day. 😊

Omg, you are not alone with the "loom of doom" scenario...I took a fiber arts class in college that I absolutely loved and one of the things we learned was how to weave. I got to try a table and a floor loom. A few years later, I learned a former workmate had one that had come with their house, just sitting in the barn.😨 And she said i could have it for free! So we got it home and in the garage "temporarily". I had an idea of where it was going to go in my room, but it needed a serious cleaning and re-warping...it's still in the garage....and i keep thinking "someday, I WILL clean it and use it!"😅

Fun video... very happy you pointed out the numbers on the bottom of the chart! Ha! I can quit trying to get an accurate count with the magnifier and bendy ruler! One day, when I make it to Stitch North I'll tell you about my 14' quilting machine in my workshop.... a loom is like an accoutrement!

I LOVE Blue Spruce! Thank you for the explanation about the numbers on the bottom. I thought it was an error and the days were switched because I thought there is no way day 3 was only 38 stitches. 😂 I’m loving this design already. ❤️

I have a loom of doom as well, but it’s just a rigid heddle loom, but a large one with all the extras and numerous heddles, like you I took a few classes, thought I needed it, still think I might get to it 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe we will, after we stitch ALL the things!

1. Take a picture of the loom. 2. Lose (sell) the loom 3. Immediately after it’s gone, put up your Christmas tree as a family in that spot. MERRY CHRISTMAS❤️

I have three sisters. I truly have been wanting that chart. I say keep the loom as long as you have the space. You never know what the future holds. I can’t believe how much we are alike. Talk about jumping in with both feet. Too much to share here. Hugs. Thanks for having coffee with me.

At least you don't have winter coats hanging on your loom like my elliptical has.... 🤣🤣🤣 Really enjoying your vlogmas! Even though I'm not participating in the MFE daily stitching this year, I look forward to seeing each day's installment . Thank you for these! Happy Stitching, Lynn

Unfortunately, those of us who are not on Instagram cannot participate in the auction. I hope that the Plum Pudding and Blue Spruce will become part of the regular line of flosses for Roxy and more reds are always a good thing.

I think you should hold on for a bit longer on selling the loom, it looks like a beautiful and very useful loom in terms of size and harness and you may find time later on

Hi Caroline, thanks for the video and loom of doom story. I'm going to disagree with everyone here and say that you should sell the loom. You made a very good case for selling it. Or, since you and your husband are very philanthropic, perhaps find a place to donate it - pethaps a women's collective for those who want to learn crafts but don't have the resources to do so. Perhaps the folks at Fibre Magazine could help? Just a thought. 😊
