I bought that same welder last year just to do a aluminum ramp job and I beat the crap out of it welding up that heavy ramp, now I use it as a portable which I run with my generator. I did use a different mig gun as I basically burnt up the original one welding all the aluminum. Little thing never skipped a beat and you can't beat the price.

I really like when a pro like yourself does a review of more of a non tradesman-type of a machine. Even if it is not made for industrial uses, that's okay, and knowing that it does a good job even if it doesn't have longevity is still great to know.

Never welded in my life, but I love your videos. Maybe I picked the wrong field when growing up.

The Chinese are now selling a 3ph, 3000watt hand held fiber laser welder for about 6k that will weld 3/8" single pass. With or without wire feed (tig style). These machines work just fine, even though not as high quality as the US version @ IPG (40 grand). My 2k watt has been used daily for going on 3 years now. If you ever do any thin stuff this process is 3 to 4 times faster than anything else out there. And multitudes easier - like using a glue gun basically. Miller now sells the US model. Thanks for your amazing videos sir.
@OFWАй бұрын
I have been looking at them. Maybe someone will send me one to try out.
@HOWEARTDOTNETАй бұрын
@@OFW The ability to control the heat is phenomenal. And the heat is very "specific". So when you're welding you're not heating up the whole bonanza, and warping the crap out of it. I can weld .005" stainless with mine.

Man! That Yes Welder sounds good on those bore welds and going 20 minutes straight with.035 wire seems impressive to me on that grade of machine. You’re right about the gun though. Seems like on all those Chinese machines that the gooseneck doesn’t have enough angle and look strange. Only ever welded with one very briefly while helping a customer get his up and running.
@danielsplayhouse3804Ай бұрын
That's something that I've been waiting for to see some of the yes welder products try them out and see what you think about them there's a lot of hiccups with a lot of their other machines..... Some of the tig welders don't put out the amperage like they're supposed to they claim machines will run 6010 I think everyone knows inverter machine have a hard time running 6010.. 😊

I use my 25-year-old 110 welder all the time. It's fine for most auto repair (bodywork, exhaust) but indeed doesn't have the juice for anything heavier than 1/8" or 3/16" with the flux wire.

I am new to welding, as in I have never done it. I was looking at YesWelder setups to learn with so I can make my own brackets. The brackets will be for attaching small items on the inside of a Jeep WK build I am working on, nothing on the structure of the vehicle itself. Would this be a good welder for what I am planning to use it for?

can hot wire a Lincoln AC225 to a MIG spool, 035 flux core w/feed rate up around 380ipm at 160amp... without co2 or air flowing... the whole 10lb spool. 100%cycle ... 8:35 would cut that thin sheet like a plasma cutter. 5/32 E6010 welds 16 gauge 409ss better then TIG/MIG. oh no i pin hole, zzzzz... filled. hahahaha uses carbide grinder to turn a 1_1/4 box end wrench into a 1_5/16 impact socket for a 3/4 drive... 5/16 E11018 is hard on the fuse panel.
