Another fine install Mike! I like how the switch is at perfect Matt toe height compared to perfect Matt finger height at Helen house.

Hey Mike, Great job as always looking forward to the hidden hose install That should be very interesting. you and Matt talked about it in one of the other vacuum videos I think the remote on off for the vacuum would be a killer feature. I don’t know of any, but I’m guessing there are but probably very few vacuums that you could turn on or off from the nozzle end. I’m hoping you guys can dial that in an offer that as a feature that would definitely make me wanna buy one just for that feature alone anyways hope everyone is well at OG. You guys have a great one.

Stupid question, but how does the canister open? Not a whole lot of clearance above or below the tank. Does the canister need to be removed from the wall each time to empty it out?
@ObsessedGarage2 жыл бұрын
There is a simple lid that sits on top. Then there is a bag inside.

I guess it's all personal preference, but I really like that white tank/canister instead of the typical black canisters you get with other manufacturers. I think it blends in better. Looks like a very sharp set up! I would love to have one of these set up's in my own garage. I use my vacuum more than any other tool in my garage probably and having a set up like this would be so convenient. Looking forward to the options available as a package with everything I would need to do an install.
@Stallion1114 Жыл бұрын
Super clean install as always Mike. But isn't the cannister a bit close to the reel? Looks like its going to be difficult to empty/replace the bag.

Basic question: did you use nuts to keep the receptacle attached to the faceplate? It looks like it but couldn't quite tell

Was there a ground to the metal junction box itself? I do believe you need to connect a ground to the box itself.

what brand is the vacuum?

Is there any reason why a flex hose can’t be used from the vacuum to the reel? Seems like it would make it so much easier.
@ObsessedGarage2 жыл бұрын
No reason. It certainly could be used.

Hi, When this vacuum will be available for purchase/pre-order? Please advise. Thank you.

Should have put a switch at the upper junction box so you don't have to bend down to flip on the vacuum.

Yes, but...currently the handles that have the switches aren't good.

I would have swapped the upper outlet for a switch or added one to the box for conviene.

Nice! Although, I prefer the vacuum canister mounted on the wall to the left of the hose reel as opposed to underneath.

What’s the difference??
@mgmdeserttaco91352 жыл бұрын
@@CrispusAttucks2315 It's the same components it's just mounted on the wall differently. The hose reel is in the way of the vacuum lid in my opinion and I prefer left to right. Hence the power switch and vacuum mounted on the wall to the left of the hose reel.
@CrispusAttucks23152 жыл бұрын
@@mgmdeserttaco9135 good deal. I’m in the process of installing my hose reel to my central vac and just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.

Yeah, I’m trying different configurations to give us options.
@CrispusAttucks23152 жыл бұрын
@@ObsessedGarage I already had a central vac in my garage and your video of the hose reel was a game changer. I got a 50 ft hose reel (CoxReels) and was like a kid waiting on UPS to deliver it. Installed it is too cool and excellent for organization. My family thinks I’m crazy but it’s just the little things for me that make me happy.

Why don't you hard wire the vacuums in? Like a light fixture. Wouldn't that look even cleaner. The same goes for the pressure washers.
@timkinley17792 жыл бұрын
How about a clean-out some where on the hose? Nothing like getting a sucker or kid's toy sucked up in the hose blocking the flow.
@ObsessedGarage2 жыл бұрын
Since the pipe isn't glued, you could just pop it off.
@timkinley17792 жыл бұрын
@@ObsessedGarage I guess a sectioned hose is more along the line of my thinking. Getting something stuck 'somewhere' inside of a 30-foot long hose might be difficult to fish out. It might never happen to anyone... but me. Just brainstorming.
@bobbyw90462 жыл бұрын
The clearance between the top of the canister and the hose reel is too little imho. After having a central vac for 30 years I have some experience with them.

Maybe 90* them backwards into the wall? Try to hide it as much as possible. Anyway to use the actual hose material? If it matched it’d be fine I’d think
