Ogre Battle 64 Best Ending with all Special Characters
The purpose of this video is to show everybody what the best ending looks like when all characters are present in the extra scenes where everybody is called back to battle. This is impossible without the use of gameshark codes. For example, you cannot have Biske/Carth when you have Ankiseth/Zenobians, and there are characters you can only obtain on a High Chaos Frame path as opposed to a Low Chaos Frame path.

Only time I ever beat OB64, I got the worst ending where even Frederick refuses to see you at the castle and you die forgotten

Most people get that ending because the game mentions absolutely nothing about Chaos Frame and they go through the entire game capturing towns instead of liberating them. It was my first ending too.

lol I got the same ending first time playing it years ago.But I also got the bonus mission where you fight Destin. Only good thing is you get the chance to get Biske in a low chaos frame and bad decisions run.I had no idea about chaos frame either and took the route of getting Biske again afterwards and he always died on me for having Akinseth. My first game I lost Dio and fought him later on, Leia turned into a zombie so no Meredia, killed Vad, Liedel didn't join and I swear I remember she died after the battle,didn't get sheen as I skipped that town,got Europea and Biske, didn't get Carth as I didn't know you could recruit him as he died on the map.

Damn, It's just now setting in how bad the run I finished was. I got the worst ending with basically none of the characters other than bisk, and the sabine...

I'm glad you liked it :) Yeah, it's very easy to get your chaos frame to plummet, but very hard to raise it. If I recall correctly, each capture is -2CF while each liberation is +0.5CF. Then there are like two or three towns in the game which cannot be liberated whatsoever, so you have to reset your game and skip those haha

Playing this game without a game guide is a 100% guarantee you get the bad ending, the chaos frame feature is never explained in the game or manual I'm currently playing the game, have over 31 hrs and I'm on level 18

100% wel all got the "bad ending" back in the days, unless you knew about chaos frame, which almost all of us had no clue on our first playtrough

I´m doing a run right now. I didn´t get to the end yet. One thing is certain, you can have all the portraits in Hugo´s People Report. But for that, you must: - Choose not to Fight Dio - Choose to do nothing while Rhade tries to kill Frederick This way you will not lose Dio, but will lose all the Zenobians and Ankiseth, but not their portraits, since they are part of the main story. After that, you will reach chapter 3. There you will find the path division to Tremos Montains, Vert Plateau and Capitrium. Here you will have to use Gameshark after you choose Tremos to find Paul. - First, beat Tremos and after that, go back to Gules Hills. - Now, using the Missions and Paths codes, you can go do Vert Plateau and get Europea. - After her, you get Biske at Capitrium, since you don´t have any zenobians or Magnus´s Father because of the choice at Frederick´s death choice. - Lastly, you get Carth for the same reason and requisites as Biske. That´s it for the secondaries. Now, you can use Game Shark to make the Zenobians or you can get them with a Game Shark code that makes you find them with Area Investigation (you will not enter the cities, it´s neutral encounters where the special character will switch the area monsters). You can use this code for every other class or monsters in game, even Deneb and Yumil. Done, you now have Hugo´s People Reports complete, and all the chars for the ending, just try to get the right Caos Frame for that.

I have to ssay that this is a great video, and the best ending. I personally never seen the character getting a son, or is it added in the hacking. Still I would love to see your game play with all the characters, it should given you unique encounters. The game was a amazing game, but rather hard to get units rank high without falling to the bad ending. By the ending, I was often stuck with maybe four strong units, while the rest was so weak they are instantly killed, but I somehow I bet it.

I can't remember if the portrait played a big deal or not, but it's best to properly give it to them. Yes it works for the endings, otherwise this video wouldn't have been possible. If you hack a lycanthrope unit (Biske is the only unit of his kind) then it will change into a werewolf at night, but keep in mind that you can create generic werewolf units with unit hacking and they stay as werewolves even in daylight (3x attack up front is fun) as shown in the beginning of this video.

Thank you for this awesome video. I'd always tried hard to get the best ending out the paths and stuff. Question how did you manage to recruit Biske? I didn't have either Ankiseth/Zenobians in my legion... Was it due to the Chaos Fame?

If I remember, you have to reply with "..." at Frederick's execution and must have a low Chaos Frame, also Ankiseth needs to die lol

@@guiltyblade in the video description i say i used some gameshark codes to unlock all characters in my party before the final mission. This resulted in these scenes which are normally impossible playing the game normally. This video is very unique in that regard.

I bet you would have to plan and restart quite a few saves normally. Its ridiculous but hey we got all these low chaos frame characters in a good ending. So it had to be doable right?

@RominusTheRed Yeah but you can get him while doing a lowCF path. He's not all that great of a unit, but he's badass as a werewolf :)

I used codes to modify individual units. I transformed a bunch of soldiers into real units, renamed them to the desired character, and then used the unit modifiers to modify that unit into that character. You can get crafty and get Yumil as well as other bosses, etc but you have to be careful what you do with them or else your game will lock up.

In the description I state that I used some gameshark codes. Because of how complex this game is, there is no single-playthrough way to view all of the special characters individual roles during the best ending. Ok. I tried this with a griffon and turned it into Carth as a test...although I haven't got the portrait to change yet. Still working on that. So all you did was class hack and poof...your good? That will work for the endings as well? Also when you do this with Biske will he still change at night or will he always stay human?

Hi, I was reading the comments and still somethng bugs me. CF is not the only requirement for the special characters. If you have Biske, it means that you didn't get ankiseth either the zenobians. Did you use a game shark to change the CF level or used a special code to make these characters available despite zenobians/ankiseth?

I know this is very old, and you might not even see this, but i would like to ask something. You see, because of an issue with my computer, i lost my save-file. I plan on restarting eventually, and i will try to get every character this time with codes. Now, the issue is, i was checking the codes and i could transform a random unit into Biske's class. While he will change accordingly to day and night, he will only fight as the form he was set on the Gameshark code regardless of the time (ie, if i set him as Werewolf, he will always fight as Werewolf regardless of the day time). I wish to know if you found a way to get through this limitation? When i restart my file (In several months, since i am still incredibly upset), i would like to have Biske working properly. I can, however, suck it up and only use his human form if needed, at least.

+Elis Mendonça As to my knowledge, the only character that can transform between both classes is Biske himself. I believe I obtained him by renaming a male unit Biske, then entering the codes to transform him into a Lycanthrope.
