With their comical and playful nature, the name Kamikazee is a play on the japanese word kamikaze when broken down becomes kami(divinity/divine) and wind(kaze). Both sound like 2 Tagalog words kami(we) and kasi(a tautology, which usually is used to emphasize the subject that leads to a cause). Great video looking forward to your next one.

I don't know if someone answered already, "Kamikaze" means "The God's Wind" in Japanese... It is known in legends that the gods send the Holy Wind to defend Japan from their enemies... like the typhoon that diverted and destroyed the Mongol invasion of the mainland. From what I know the band changed their name to "Kamikazee" (from "kah-mi-ka-zeh" to "kah-mi-ka-zi")

Before kamikazee went main stream, all their songs are mostly at this genre. But if you really understand Filipino, the lyrics will crack you up. This song basically describes how balls sweating hot it is in the Philippines during summertime 😂. Their older song "tsinelas" is just as funny. It's about finding his missing flip flops and it sounds like a deftones song.
