I have been watching you for years and whatever you used on day one is hands down the BEST I’ve ever seen your skin look, not that I ever thought it looked bad. I have breakouts similar to yours and I just started using Enilsa Brown’s 5% glycolic wash, she has KZbin channel too. In the first week alone I’m breaking out 50% less at least! She says the best way to use it is wash your face first, get all your makeup off, then use the wash and lather it with your fingertips gently but firmly, leave it on for one minute and then rinse. I’m so happy to see you smiling again, I’ve been struggling with my meds too so I empathize. Have a great day gorgeous!

I think pilling happens a lot when the primer doesn't mix well with whatever moisturizer is put on first.

All the brands are not created the same so it’s most likely the chemical from moisturizer, the primer and the makeup brand they are using that causes it.

There are three different versions of this primer...yellow, pink and blue. I bought the pink and thought it had an odd odor. I will try the blue when times are better financially. Good to know that they don't all stink! Stay well

Tbf with the reviews on Ulta, only 12 reviews. My guess they are experiencing pilling bc of the skincare they are using. It’s not the fault of the primer. Not all ingredients mix!

Hello! I am a 60 year old Gramma so I have mature skin. I tried the Revlon Photoready Matte and Pore Reducing Primer Plus (Green bottle,). and it worked very well on my skin. My initial reaction was it felt like my face was tightening a little and my pore appeared to look a little smaller. I've been wearing it with no Foundation and really like the soft, non greasy look. I have tried it with my Revlon Full Coverage foundation and really like the flawless look it gives me. I rate this product and 8/10 and will definitely buy again and use in my daily routine. The one her and Taylor Wynn like is in a clear bottle and the product is pink. It’s my favorite. However, I do not have oily skin so that could make a huge difference in our preferences. I feel like primers either help, or don't help and there's not much in between. The only primers that work for me are the balm-like, hydrating ones for dry skin. Everything else breaks me out. Despite the results on your video, I just love watching your content! Brings joy to my day.

Hey Cassie, I think you should try the first days combo foundation again and see what happens. It did look amazing. I do also think that all 3 days looks less oily, and more on the matt side, especially the first day. Also our skin changes when we are on our periods too, so maybe try it again when you have finished with your monthlies, might be that it works better then. Have a great weekend 🤘🏻

The bad reviews were people likely using a moisturizer that doesn't jive well with the primer. They have to have the same base in order for it to work.

I love these primers! all summer I tried the pink version and I was in love. But in winter I prefer more treated things so I tried the blue version. I have dry skin but I have many imperfections and in 4 days of daily use they are almost all gone! despite my dry skin it did not dry out and redden my skin. Approved! Having dry skin on "no foundation" days, I don't even need powder!

I use this primer every day and love it. I use the NYX pore filler on and around my nose where my biggest pores are, and then the revlon primer everywhere else. I always put a light dusting of setting powder (NJC velvet finishing powder) over the top of it. I never have an issue with pilling or rubbing off of foundation. Lately the only foundations I’ve worn is Double Wear and the Flower Beauty one, so I can’t say it works with every foundation, but certainly more than one. I also use the same L’Oreal concealer every day, so the primer does play nice with that concealer.

Revlon discontinued the old PhotoReady Primer collection with the black pumps and clear lids. :( It looks Revlon has three variations of Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus and Makeup + Skincare Primer. Cassie tried on the blue/green Mattifying + Pore Reducing, and Jessica tried on the pink one, Perfecting + Smoothing. The other one is yellow, Brightening + Skin-Tone Evening. Has anyone tried that? 🤷‍♀️

Wow, after seeing how perfect your foundation looked on the day one wear test I was fully prepared to buy this primer later today! I've been watching you for ages now so of course I totally get why you do the half primer wear test. But at times I wonder when a primer doesn't work as well when it's only on half the face - if it's because it's only on half the face. Is it possible that some primers won't work to their full potential when they're only on half the face? Like perhaps our skin can get a bit confused, as it were, and reacts differently if not entirely covered with the product ?? I realise that you've been using this method for a really long time and are very experienced with these wear tests, so I may be totally on the wrong path here. But I've just been curious about this in the past and have wondered if it's an actual possibility. Regardless, great review as always!

I have textured, a lot of pores but they’re little and this pilled with or without moisturizer. Also pilled regardless of foundation even with my MAC foundation, benefit foundation, and estee double wear foundation 🙃

I believe this IS the best foundation application I’ve ever seen on your skin. This product looks like it works really well for you. That's awesome! I am just wondering about your string LED lights - isn't the point of them to create pinpoints of light in the background of your video? Why are the strings exposed, it just looks weird and unfinished. You see more of the wires/strings than the actual lights.

I believe it would be best to use this primer with a water based since salicylic acid is meant to control oil and clean pores out so it might react with oil foundations and cause peeling 😉 I would advise not to use every day since salicylic acid is a chemical exfoliater , luck to all

I use it and it's probably the one I've found that works best for me (though I did recent try the Touch in Sol Sherbet one and I like it but it's not quite enough for my oil slick of a face).
