There was drama in the concluding charity race at the Curragh on September 24 2023 when Damien Moore thought he had the contest sewn up on Noble Anthem. Easing up in the closing stages, the pair were caught by Fair Damsel and Martina Dempsey in dramatic circumstances.

If the Jockey Club Does not look into this and give the jockey who rode the runner up a very long Suspension and Big Fine They are not doing their job.... When the punter is robbed in this sick manner, sometimes Paddy Power will pay out on both horses. They are definitely fairer than Boyles. Does anyone know what the big named bookies did on this occasion. I know from experience that Powers will do more for angry punters who have been robbed. This is worse than Pat Cosgroves horror ride on Concorde and Powers paid it as a winner that time. It was a bad price but it was still fair of them to do that.

@@paulconey252 I didn't realise Paddy Power only paid out Concorde up to a maximum of 25 euro. That's pathetic. In my opinion, they should either payout to every punter or none at all. Getting 25 back isn't much good if you put Concorde into an accumulator at them odds. I have seen Powers do certain things over the years to appease punters who have been robbed by foolish jockeys getting over confident and costing their mounts the race. I rarely see Boyles do anything. I wasn't watching any racing today but I heard a few people saying it was a mickey mouse race. All the same it was priced up. The horse that should have won was 13/8 fav. I assume a few people were on it. I was just wondering if anyone knew if any bookie decided to make up for the jockey error and gave money back or anything like that. Maybe even cashback as a free bet would be something.

The winning jockey was tipping her horse to the camera crew and commentators before the race , she was sure her horse was going to win and the jockey on the favourite that everyone put their money on obliged by pulling his horse up before the line so she could win, in over 50 years of watching horse racing I’ve never ever seen anything as blatant , if the jockey that came second had been a professional he would have received a very lengthy ban .
