The bathroom convo is reminding me of a neighboring highschool i went to for a track meet, which had recently been renovated, and instead of urinals it just had like one giant, stainless steel, wall to wall trough you could piss in. The toilets were also stainless steel, which was interesting considering it was winter so you just had to put your bare ass on freezing metal

I can't believe they might've forgot that they must "Blind it and RUN". Simply put: flash your light at the monster, and it'll stay immobilize for a couple of seconds. This should give you enough time to run away. And if you don't have a flashlight, they're literally at the starting point. There should be enough for one each.
