So fun fact abour Culex, He's not a boss from ANY Final Fantasy game. He was specifically designed for this game in the style of a FF boss. It's almost more of a spoof of FF, especially with the crystals. Additionally, people have found out quite recently that Numora might have been the person to actually design Culex!

That's basically what happens when you hit lava in any 3D Mario game. I was the one who submitted the "MEGALOVANIA" tadpole measure at 1:33:57 live during the night of the stream. The irony with the "Beethoven" bit coming before the actual measure is that said measure _did_ only take me about a minute to think up; I just mainly went by ear and mentally mapped those notes to something that'd be possible to create in-game. Fun fact!! The track used for the secret Final Fantasy-like boss is straight up the boas fight track from Final Fantasy IV! It also sounds to me that the rearranged version used for his post-game rematch is almost identical to the one used in FF4's DS remake that was also 3D, like the new version of the secret boss. Also, Dan said he's a fan of older Final Fantasy games (mentioned 1-6), I wonder if he has played FF9? It's my favorite FF game (and favorite game overall), and it's a lot more like the pixel games than FF7-8 and has a lot of references especially to early FF games. I greatly recommend it to people who enjoy early FF titles. There is a reason a lot of people say it's best title in the franchise, even though it's not nearly as popular as FF7.

As someone who played the original back in the day, I have to say I am really impressed how the game looks. It's pretty much the exact same game, just with some added features (hitting all enemies, the team attack, etc.). I am glad they didn't re-invent anything or change the core of it. Super Mario RPG was one of the two RPG games I hadn't finished before the remake released, and now that I played the remake, WOW I missed out. I wouldn't call it my all time favorite, but I enjoyed it every step of the way, not having any real problems with the game, which I can't say for even my top 3 Mario RPGs. I love this type of Mario spinoff, and I have to give major props to the one that started the whole thing.
