I was 15, when this song and video came out in December 1988. After the video debuted, MTV's switchboard lit up with countless people requesting it. This song was the public's introduction to Skid Row, and their first two albums would be stuff we would indulge in for many years to come! Cheers from northeast Ohio.

I was 19 yrs old when this came out. Seen them the following summer opening up for Aerosmith. The 80's was by far the best decade to grow up in. The concerts were amazing. Back then we didn't have the internet. The only way you could hear songs were either buying the cassette or catching it on the radio and only way to see them was catching the video on MTV, when it actually played music videos. All we did was go to concerts

If you want a new hair band to react, I'd recommend "Nelson Brothers", they are sons of Ricky Nelson and have some nice songs to react to like "After the Rain", "I can't live (without your love and affection), "More Than Ever" and some others.

They performed at my high school in ‘91. Love them!!! Great ballads too. Back then, they went by Nelson. Matthew was my fave of the 2.🥰

Speaking as a child of this time frame ( I graduated highschool in 1987) - absolutely yes! Many of us were like this. We did what we wanted when we wanted. We didn’t care what anyone thought of us but most of us still had respect for other people.

I was 8 yrs old listening to this tape and singing every word. Some of the older kids, teens in my neighborhood were definitely the "youth gone wild". My wife who is twelve years older than me, was 20 at the time and still remembers rocking out to Skid Row.

Love the reaction. Saw them in concert in 1989 when they opened for Bon Jovi. On a different note - you really should react to Jamiroquai “Virtual insanity”. Do the video version if possible. You won’t regret it.

THIS song was the anthem for us Gen X'ers. Yes I agree with Amber, Gen X was the generation that decided to do things differently, challenge the "establishment" and do our own thing no matter what people thought

If you want another great rebellious song, check out a band called: Babylon AD. Song; "The Kid goes wild". They're such an underrated hair metal band from the time, and the song is straight fire!! Will definitely get you pumped up! It even features the late great Sam Kinison. May he rest in peace. 🤘😎

In the 80s, we didn’t care about being offended, we spoke our minds, spoke our truth, we were the generation who played football out in the street and tackled each other on the concrete…we rode our skateboards where we were told we couldn’t…we had scars and scabs all over our arms, legs and face…when we played dodgeball in gym, we aimed for the face….we were the youth gone wild…our music was the same…we sang about, girls, sx…destruction, anti govt, anti authority, we wanted to be who we were…and if you accepted that, we were good, if not, we didn’t care…just leave us alone. Those were the days!
