This does seem like the perfect time to elaborate upon the origin of the Bucaneers, as not expanding upon Joyboy, especially if he turns out to be a giant (which I personally believe is unlikely), as this is clearly the best time and context to further expand on his historical significance. I honestly wouldn't be surprised is Joyboy was somehow directly responsible for either the formation or (former) abundance of the Bucaneers.

It’s very likely applied that Joyboy was either a Giant or A buccaneer himself. The giant straw hat in the Holy land highly suggests this. If not he was most likely of an Oni descendent ODA in two Arcs . Thriller bark had luffy shadow inside of Oars and had him acting like luffy coincidence I think not. Also notice in Marine Fors Ace gaved Oars Junior a hat . A little too in the nose but oars tried to save Ace and died trying similar to how luffy was adamant about saving Ace.

Gecko Moria explained that a person with strong enough will could have a personality affect if their shadow was used to reanimate a body, but that it would only last a little while. Joyboy being a buccaneer is possible. Or Imu could just be an evil tontatta and the giant hat is just a perspective thing (extremely unlikely), but we dont know. I dont think Joyboy necessarily has to be a giant or an oni (is that what we're calling Oars and Little Oars?)

Some interesting thoughts. There are 2 loki s in Norse Mythology the other is the frost giant “utgard loki”. The band around both straw hats are red and resemble in many ways the red line. If the tree is located on/ in the red line an big enough to be seen from elbaf or elbaf is near the red line maybe there is only 1 tree and it goes through or around the planet though fishman island. And it could also be that the red line is in fact a giant shackle emprisoning the tree and the devil fruits maybe a bit like antibodies to try and free it.

I personally believe that after some clash on Elbalf against some foe, Luffy and Shanks will team up to attack Blackbeard on Pirate Island. It would make for a cool invasion arc where our hero’s needed to rescue their captured allies from BlackBeard. This could also serve as the perfect place for the Shanks vs Black Beard.

I think the former Rocks Pirate Silver Axe might be in Elbaf. Giants have infamously used Axe as weapons. Also, Oda is including Rocks pirates in story heavily now even Ochoku was revealed to be in Hachinosu during Timeskip.

Thought/theories I have about Elbaf: - I don't think Luffy and the Straw Hats will be "soundly defeated." They already did that at Sabaody but I do think Egghead will end with the Straw Hats having to make some sort of retreat, to Elbaf, where they will learn of Kidd's defeat and learn that they are only like a half day behind Shanks. But I do think Elbaf will be all about Usopp until they learn that info. - Uranus is the god of the sky and Elbaf is inspired by Vikings and Norse mythology, I can 100% see a plot point where there is an item or a person named Thor who is then revealed to be Uranus because Thor is the Norse God of the sky and comparative mythology is a thing. - I think Franky built _Sunny_ to be retrofitted for Pluton or to fight Pluton. I'm not saying Franky did it with that intention or that Luffy would ever ask him to. But Franky had those blueprints for long enough and Franky is smart enough to have memorized them. He likely built _Sunny_ in such a way that he subconsciously made her super easy to turn into Pluton or to fight Pluton if it was absolutely necessary. If _Sunny is damaged retreating from Egghead, I can see him using Elbaf’s Treasure Tree to fix her and that’s when he turns _Sunny_ either into Pluton or the perfect Pluton counter. Because remember, _Sunny_ is already made of a Treasure Tree. - I can see Elbaf divided into 9 counties of districts like Wano was. Each district is named after a different world and each county is connected by a bridge system or super highway called Yggdrasil. - I think Usopp will end up leading a brigade or division of Elbaf warriors during the final war, and those soldiers will total 8,000 men. - With the symbolism of an Adam and an Eve tree(s), I could see the final war _starting_ with the Adam tree falling after an attack by the WG on Elbaf and _ending_ with the Eve tree falling after either destruction of the Grand Line and/or the exodus of the Fishman to the surface world. - To me, Shank's story always ended in one of four ways. 1. Shanks is the true main antagonist and characters like Blackbeard and Imu have been red herrings. 2. Shanks dies before Luffy can return the straw hat. 3. The Straw Hats and Red-Haired Pirates tie to Laugh Tale and have a Davy Back Fight for the One Piece. 4. The Straw Hats and Red-Haired Pirates tie to Laugh Tale and have a real fight (but not to the death) for the One Piece.

I always had this in my mind, what if the red line was a giant snake that went a round the world just as Jormungandr. Could had been the same species as the one from Noland's flashback, an ancient one. What if in the past someone use the mero mero no mi to petrified it hence creating the red line. Could explain why Black beard wanted that devil fruit, he always knows more than what he lets on. Could explain all the snake imagery that Oda uses.

I wouldn't be too surprised if the Log Pose on Elbaf pointed towards the moon (Nami's reaction to the fast moving Log Pose needle should be interesting, when it is permanently pointing towards the moon, which is rotating around the world), or if they found out on Elbaf that the last Poneglyph was on the moon and decided to "go there somehow" ("Luffy Style"? 😋). This location of the Poneglyph would at least be a good explanation as to why no one else has found this Poneglyph yet (except maybe Enel, though it may be questionable whether he realizes what he's found). Nice side effect: Nami could advance or even almost completely fulfill her wish to draw a map of the whole world on the moon / on the way there and back

I know we have been building up Elbaf as a Viking heavy arch but I think it will also have a heavy French slant We thought Zoro would have more on Wano but his parents had left Wano. Shusui looks French. Buccaneers are French and seem to be the missing link between humans and Giants. Plus there is references of French crews under Shanks. French and Viking history overlap in the 1500's and there is so much history Oda can pull from, up to Napolian. Anyways, still think we will be getting Viking Ragnarok but with a French twist. I watched a youtube video recently (can't remember by who) where they mentioned who the man marked by flames could be and he said that in one of the flashbacks from one of the recent chapters stated that Kuma replaced the warlord that was beaten by Ace and we all know that before Ace died he used the Mera Mera/ Flame Flame fruit, he goes onto say that maybe the marines put that warlord to use in another way and made him the one to protect the last Road Poneglyph. This theory makes a lot of sense in some ways since this could be seen as a punishment and we know how the marines like to deal with warlords when they fail.

The guy with the red scare is Dragon, luffy's father. It's him because there are so much hint in the story of one piece that prove Dragon has the Wind devil fruit power. Oda is running into the problem of "too many characters, too little time." Even if he wants all the cool characters to come back, there is only so much time he has for the final saga, and I doubt he will pour some of it into Kidd. Hope I'm wrong though!

And the foxy arc did have connections. It told us about Full-A-Lead and probably how Rocks got his crew. Like how White beard told shanks ur face makes my scar hurt .. cuz he is a mirror image of Figarland. Nothing is ever not connected in Oda's mind

the giants longer age will help the stories be the most accurate about nika, 800 years ago was like Hajurduins grandpa or great grandpa he could have heard stories that were nearly first hand

I like the idea of a short training arc with the red haired pirates. I think the whole crew should at least know the basics of haki. Seems only fitting for the pirate kings crew. This gives them time to resolve things with yassop, Saul, and shanks. At the end cross guild and bb show up and shanks calls for a Davy back fight. Mihawk gets captured by shanks in the game revealing he used to be his first mate before Ben. The straw hats win the Davy back fight but bb cheats or steals the rubbings and takes off for laugh tale. This sets up their final fight for pirate King. Shanks and buggy forgive each other and decide to prepare for the final battle with the marines awaiting the pirate King to lead them. "The hidden island" is where a lot of the ideas about mihawk being part of shanks crew at some point comes from. Makes a lot of sense to me.
