Have you read "Dark Notes" by Pam Godwin? I LOVVVVED IT! It is a teacher/student trope!

Manacled: Maybe I’m just too old cause I wasn’t feelin’ it. Years ago, I bought the HP series for my 10 yr old daughter, as they were sequentially published. I’ve read all but the last two, and enjoyed them way back then. As far as Manacled-I read the first 25 chapters, and they were okay. Then there was a Part change that flash-backed to the war days, and I stopped there because I had zero interest in that part of the storyline. Sadly, the first 25 chapters hadn’t incentivized me to either grudgingly read Part two, or skip ahead to Part three-which is where I currently stand. However, despite the fact that I felt no spark with what I’ve read thus far, the massive hype makes me feel like I’m missing out on something, by not continuing through to the end. 🤔

I loved The Wolf Hotel series however, I would've preferred it to be 1 or 2 books. It had way too much filler, could have easily been cut down.
