Wait a sec,am I tripping or does your Hihat pedal OPEN the HH when pressed down?

It’s a standard Tama Iron Cobra hihat stand. When the hats are closed my leg is up in the “heel up” position, with the weight of my leg holding the pedal down with the front of my foot (toes). To open the hats, my leg comes down into the “heel down” position to rest the ball of the foot on the ground (back of the pedal) and lift up the front of the foot off the front of the pedal, opening the hats. 😎🤘

@justinbennettdrums And here I am lifting my whole leg like a goon, this is why I only do studio drums, and it takes me jamming over a loop for a while to get a decent take I'm happy enough with to start sampling and chopping. 🦇💚🦇
