My husband's dad dotted the eye in 1963 AND 1964 as a junior and senior because they didnt have a senior that played tuba in 1963. He's the only person that has ever done that. He died 5 years ago.

I’m in the Penn State Blue Band and the OSUMB has amazing talent then and now, truly deserving of the name “The Best Damn Band In The Land,” love to see you when we play Ohio State

I have a friend who is playing in this band, would like to get a copy on DVD for his personal viewing... his grand kid's would get a big thrill seeing grandpa marching at 20 year's old. Not to say the old man might have some water in the old eye's.

This was the Homecoming game played on October 12, 1963 vs. #8 ranked Illinois, and the game ended in a 20-20 tie. OSU went on to a disappointing 5-3-1 record that year.

This is a halftime show. The strange thing is that they played the Illinois fight song at halftime!

This the Buckeye Fanfare, arr. Richard Heine. For a long time it wasn't performed very regularly but towards the end of my time in the band we went back to using it to introduce the floating O-H-I-O formation. This is used for away/bowl game pre-game shows as well as at high school and pro football field show performances. Here is a relatively recent performance at last year's Rose Bowl Game: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKTEio2tfNWjjLc

We used it for Rose Bowl pregames in the early to mid 1970s.
