Yes, it was offensive pass interference. And I noticed Ohio State's secondary had been repeatedly holding Oregon's receivers throughout the game and it was rarely called. Also, yes Oregon intentionally put 12 men on the field, and the NCAA has already changed the rule effective immediately giving the offense the option to reset the clock back to the time of the snap.

The reason why Autzen is so loud is the way it was constructed. Instead of building a stadium on flat ground they scooped out the top of a small hill. The field sits down in a crater with much of stadium being built on solid ground. When sound hits the solid ground most of it is redirected back towards the field. Most football stadiums are basically steel skeletons with the stands and facades and whatnot attached. This means that there is a lot of open air under and around the stands that allows the sound to escape instead of being redirected back towards the field. If you look at old pictures of Autzen before they built all the extra stuff it’s much easier to see.

Nah. It’s loud primary because of the Oregon fans. The track and field stadium, Hayward Field, is one of the loudest in the world. That’s because of the Oregon crowds.

@@maninthemiddle55 Nah, as someone who has been to dozens of events at both locations, I can tell you there is something different about autzen. The reason Hayward is one of the loudest track venues is because Oregon actually cares about track and fills the stadium. Most school fanbases don’t care about track so hardly anyone comes and it can’t ever get loud. Also what I said about autzen has been modeled and shown to be true so it’s not even a hunch, it’s math.

@@DanielJamesEgan You made my point for me. The comparison is not between Autzen and Hayward. It’s between Autzen and other CFB stadiums, and between Hayward and other track stadiums. Orgeon events at either venue are just louder than the other respective venue-types. Of course acoustics plays a role, but not all fan bases are alike. Oregon’s are louder, period.

@@UnafraidShow Living in Troutdale, I've frequently considered making the drive to Eugene, but like everything I do 'in my old age' I weigh the all the options. Obviously being there in person and feeling the rush of the game is a HUGE benefit, but on the other side? I've got the fuel I'd burn and the hassle of dealing with _always_ nasty I-5 traffic. Not to mention the cost of the ticket and the concessions. (and being a retiree, I'd have to buy the cheapest seat). I'd also have to watch the game through binoculars or on the big screen, and obviously my big screen HD TV at home gives me a better experience. *NOW....* With all that being said? If I was still a young man, and could blend in to one of those college victory parties? Heck! Getting some of that college age _'poontang'_ would make me go to *EVERY SINGLE* home game! 🤣
