Looks like you needs some tarps so you can just pull the snow off for quick cleanup before use. I put a trash bag over the engine on my splitter and wrap a bunge cord around the bottom.

Ask a landscaper where they dump their yard debris. Often it’s 50-100 per trailer load to dump. Truck those scraps out. You any everyone here have a great Christmas holiday.

Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. It looks and sounds real cold out there in Ohio. I hate snow lying on machinery as it permeates into all those inaccessible places where corrosion can develop. Joe, it might be worth it for you to buy a couple of old corn/ grain wagons for the wood for the trucking company. You could put it under the conveyor then fill it , haul it behind your truck to the trucking company and then they burn it. They will hold about 2-3 full cords. I buy them all the time for a few hundred dollars. Just have to cut the door a little bigger and hang chains across the opening to keep splits in until needed. This would be a lot less handling and would allow you to split a couple cords at a time. Could still have a couple totes to hold them over while you refill the wagon. I just bought a corn silage wagon that already has a hydraulic floor on it to use for splits.

Still all mud here in mi.tire covers work real good for stuff.get the right size for what your doing n they work great.i use them in the wood shop to cover machines, log splitter motors, seat cover on my excavator to keep it dry.n many other things around here.

Hi Stephen - Big Rodders in Ireland here. I've been trying to get Joe to get a back pack blower for a couple of years but he's proving to be very obstinate on the matter. To be fair to him in this instance, the snow appeared to be frozen on, which may have caused a problem. I firmly believe that if he ever got a powerful blower he would be amazed how versatile they are for many tasks.

At our sawmill we sell all our slabwood yr round to people who want Campfirewood, boilerwood or even use it for cooking sap. I deliver like 100 cords a yr of it. Othertimes people bring a trailer and we load it for only $40 to just get rid of it. delivered about 20 cords of split boilerwood already . All the knots,ugly wood and short chunks all make heat. Our sawdust we use to bed our beef cattle in the baryard all winter then spread the manure on our fields in spring. Sell the shavings from our planer and molder. Chip cedar slabwood for wood chips for spring. Make kindling bundles from the board edger trimmings. All the bark and sawdust gets composted in our back 40. Our giant brush pile we burn and spread the ashes for fertilizer Everything has a use if u know what its good for. I could use an axis for the 2-3ft rounds i have cut but don't want to deal with on my supersplit. Hoping to get a wolf ridge VS or an axis next year for how many big rounds i make into firewood every yr

It is nice when you find a useful purpose for ugly wood. If you cut much wood, you are going to have a lot that won't stack, is too short, has a limb or crotch, and is just hard to deal with. Hey Joe. Hope you're well and Merry Christmas. If you have all that scrap and it hasn't taken you too long to build it up, I'd look into a gasifier either for your house or your yard. There are pretty decent commercial options available and I'm pretty sure that you can get ones that recover heat. For the wood you're burning now you'll probably have free electricity too. It was pre covid I looked into it and I'm based in the UK, however a German company was talking in the region of £15k for something that would have been too big for your home

Merry Christmas couple of things you probably know. One of those car port structures would be great to have Uber top of the Axis and the app to keeper. Go to the weather weather. It wouldn't get covered in snow. Pressed it up with ice and now you've got an alternative location to get rid of the boiler wood. That's good. And that other scrap you could be like Allen family firewood and find your nearest tree guy that does his own chippand possibleave unload that scrap at his place for just Halloween in the way you won't get paid for it. But you would get rid of it. I'm not bad 41 years scrap

I know you are working towards some cover, but letting these high dollar machines that you count on for a livelihood set uncovered, is money lost in future repairs and down time. Were you able to get the Japa running correctly yet? I have a boiler wood pile for waste that is argued over each year. The only wood I load with a skid loader and dont worry about debris. Greetings Joe from snow free Minnesota.! I've got a fair bit of boiler wood myself that I need to find a home for. The stockpile for my own use is full. It's a hard item to sell for any kind of profit and requires near the same labor as nicer wood.

The gloves are made by Showa. They are the Altas model. You can get them off Amazon or their web site. Great glove. The XL's are way too big for me and the L's are just a tad too small. I got the nylon gloves from harbor freight. Works great.

Go see your friend at Cortland power equipment and get a dewalt battery blower for clearing snow off your equipment. I use one at my sawmill business
