In my teens, I was a Nirvana and rock n roll fan, to my soul. But there was no way to be a young girl and come across the power of these women in hip hop and not pay attention. Love this reaction, love this song. Salt'n Pepa were pioneers. So cool and fun. En Vogue are so beautiful and talented. Those two supergroups combined, one being hip hop and the other one from the R&B/Soul/Pop genre was just perfect. And i agree their message and whole style was so mcuh more classy than rappers nowadays.

I loved this song because we get to see Spinderella rap! But I love S & P and En Vogue! Takes me back to my youth! En Vogue came out when I was high school! Definitely a big difference from then to now.Thankfully, it is so much easier to access music now than it was back in the day.. You should check out more En Vogue, they were amazing! Hold On and Free Your Mind were awesome. Also, you should check out Lauren Hill: Doo Wop, The Sweetest Thing, or any of her other songs. Both En Vogue or Lauren didn’t put out much music, but all their stuff was pretty perfect, at least to me.

I believe the band's name is French for "in fashion." I was a little young to investigate them further but I always enjoyed when I heard them. Salt-N-Pepa were doing it before Cardi B & Meghan the Stallion were even born.
