But Google maps is free and for life. To upgrade to the latest version release for the SatNav in my vehicle it was going to cost me nearly £300, so I tried Google maps as i can link it via apps on my vehicle so mapping shows on the central console jast as if I was using the Satnav. Don't knock it 'till tha's tried it....

Very true. But you can't input your vehicle size into Google maps can you?

I have the same system under a different name & found it good taking my MoHo to Scotland & I will be using it next year when I go to Finland. Follow all the instructions that come on the screen as I ignore one & got stuck thinking that I would save time 😂

You don't need to click LPG unless you have more than 2 bottles, that tab will be for transporting gas 👍

Looks like an interesting SatNav. Does it allow you to specify sticking to wider roads rather then looking for the shortest route and as you demonstrated gives a warning? I would be looking for that warning to come up when i type in the destination rather than waiting to get close to the issue.

If there is a problem with the route it lets you know straight away. When I ran that experiment there was no route programmed in. I was just driving with the map on

@@life_uncharted I wonder how it would fare on a trip in Cornwall. We used waze this year and it sent us down lots of roads suitable for only one vehicle and assumes you never meet anyone coming in the other direction for it’s time calc where if you took the larger roads you actually get there faster.

@@life_uncharted it's a film about a guy who home schools his kids they all live on a bus they converted, unfortunately the mum had died. It's a really great film. The guy basically raises his kids with certain beliefs etc mainly in nature travelling in America. You need to watch it ❤️

just some advice by telling that sat nav you have LPG on board. will think your freight and steer you away from tunnels that your allowed to go through as your not freight as your a camper you don’t have to declare i pull ADR dangerous goods
