I had dry skin too for years. I am 55 now and I don’t have dry skin any more after I started eating ethically raised animal fat like ghee, butter, and tallow. The change is amazing. At forty I had wonderful skin but after my mid-forties I think with pre-menopause, I started to see damage.

Yes! Mid forties is actually where the changes happen. I'm 48 and all of a sudden things look different. I just started eating a ton of butter, steak and eggs. Looking better and FEELING better.

@marykatherinemorris5048 Жыл бұрын
There are makeup powders with spf 50 in them so I personally put on my heavy duty liquid sunscreen in the morning before makeup, and then about 3 or 4 hours later I’ll touch up with the spf powder before I get out in the sun (bc a lot of my work is outside)
@db8562 Жыл бұрын
So I use very light “makeup” I use a tinted sunscreen and also a cover girl Bb cream, and a little powder after that. When I re apply I use the Unseen sunscreen by supergoop and it doesn’t do a damn thing to the coverage. It’s the clearest most awesome sunscreen I’ve ever used and goes over my coverage flawlessly. Try it out!
@artbyjaweria9575 Жыл бұрын
@@marykatherinemorris5048 powders never work the same as liquid sunscreens you can search up many videos testing sunscreens and there you'll find sunscreen in powder is of no use , when it doesn't even penetrates or stick to the layer of skin how can it protect skin , there are sunscreen sprays which are designed to reapply on makeup they are transparent with no white cast , it's good to use a powder with SPF but relying on it for sun protection is not a good idea.🥰❣️

Gosh… I bought the Luna, Lactic Acid and CEO vit C serums from Sunday Riley and saw an immediate difference but they clogged my pores SO MUCH. I gave my skin a break, and only used one product at a time but each product clogged so badly. I had to stop using them on my face and now only use as a chest/neck treatment. I hope to find something with similar ingredients without an oil base because I saw a huge difference in my fine lines. 😭

Oh no! Try SR’s other CEO vitamin C serum and Dermalogica’s Phyto nature retinol serum. They don’t have an oil base. Ferver makes a lactic acid toner that might be better for you too.

You have nice skin. You are not aging backwards and you are still young it’s all relative. I thought like you when I was 40 but we can not escape the structural changes to the face that occur without surgical intervention. I do believe we can keep the skin very nice well into our 40’s I don’t know beyond that. Use of sunscreen and retinoids.

I am 50 and have a similar experience to you as far as taking really good care of my skin. I struggle with Retinol/Retin A type products. I feel like (in spite of reading otherwise) that it needs to tear up my skin to be effective. I would LOVE to use the Sunday Riley product you discuss. Do you think this would be as effective to someone my age as it is to you. I guess I am needing confirmation that it really can work as well without destroying my skin, and making me look like a dry flakey mess lol. Thank you for everything! I shall continue the my Lauren O'Connell marathon now.

Great video! I love how you brought us with you through your skin care routine :-) I was just curious, from a bio engineering point of you, why retinol or retinoic acid is preferred as an ingredient instead of straight vitamin A? I know there’s a conversion process involved, and that vitamin a doesn’t always fully convert in the body.… But I’ve also had some issues with some of the research behind retinol’s. So I was wondering what your take on it was? What do you think about using vitamin A Oil as an alternative to retinol serum?

Not intending to be bitchy..this is first video..she seems nice person and very good intentions. But I've never understood why people use sooo many products. I mean your skin can only take in so much. Ps personally I tried botox 3 times and I felt like it wore off quick and didn't do much. I tend to be anxious at times and feel a little bit of regular meditation did way more for me. Since then I've just concentrated on the basics as much as I can. Food, mind, exercise, etc..with very simple skin care. Different strokes for different folks ,(hope that's the right old saying haha,).
