I want to leave this comment here, and then I will have said all I can say about this video. I’m basing my opinion about the “ THAT FAMILY” comment on on the part of the interview where Tyler clarifies that he really doesn’t want to be involved with Bri and anyone who knows her. Then later LaTerras comes in and says “your feelings about the child’s mother cannot be allowed to get in the way of how you treat the child”. This is a moment that actually happened in this podcast, if you didn’t see it, please watch the original again. I’m having trouble understanding how so many people can’t fathom that a man’s feelings about his baby’s mother will reflect in how he chooses to treat the children. We see this all the time. Men who just randomly get someone pregnant, it’s someone they don’t love, it’s someone they don’t actually see a future with, they treat the kids like they don’t matter. And then, years later, when they’re with a woman, they respect, and someone they see a legitimate future with, all of a sudden, they are Mr. Family Guy. To me, that’s what Tyler is trying to be. He will never rectify within himself that he had feelings or he was involved with this woman and it produced children. In the timeline he is currently in, that narrative simply will not fit. He already admitted he has absolutely no feelings for those kids and he never did, and I think a lot of that had to do with the way he looked at Bri. A little nugget from my life…the times that I have been presented with the opportunity to be with child by a man, I have declined because I did not want my child to be able to see. “Dad does not love Mom, Dad did not think Mom was enough to actually commit to“and because I was only offered that by men who didn’t love me, I knew it was possible that they might move on and give 100% of themselves down the line to another woman and possibly leave my children behind. This happens all the time. I don’t know why so many people think it’s so far-fetched that his issue could really be with Bri and not with the kids. Especially since he says so many times in the interview the children are innocent bystanders in this messy situation. If you didn’t get that perspective from the interview, then we’ve lived very different lives, we’ve observed very different realities in life, and we saw a different interview. Anyway, thank you for watching 😊 Oh...and apparently I was on to something with Tyler feeling betrayed by Laterras's remarks after the interview particularly his remarks with Jessie and Ricki...Tyler has untagged himself on all Dear Future Wifey media and he has unfollowed Laterras on IG. I wonder how this whole sitation makes Laterras feel, a man who seeks to do good and redeem people with his platform. I think this interview was a mistake. Tyler should have posted a notes app apology about everything and kept it moving.

Tyler aka Lyler fought for custody of the first child and signed the birth certificate of the twins, who were conceived the natural way. Being in pictures with matching pajamas with his children, and now abandoning them and claiming he never felt anything for the children doesn't make sense. Yes, men abandon their children for the sake of a new relationship. It doesn’t make it okay. If I'm misunderstanding your take, I apologize. I just see Lyler as a deceptive person who keeps lying because he doesn't want to pay child support or admit to Ashley that he was more involved in his children's lives than he has admitted to her.

Oooh I want to add this too. Tyler kept talking about Ashley‘s intuition and how great it was. But we see now that this interview did not do for them what they thought it would do. I don’t think we talk enough about how sometimes your intuition can lead you to situations that aren’t necessarily meant to lift you up, but to provide correction and redirection. We don’t celebrate that part as much. When we talk about being called to a place when we talk about feeling guided to a place there’s always a positive connotation with that but sometimes that calling leads to a very powerful destruction and redirection and I think that’s what happened for these two. What do you guys think? Does anyone agree? Probably not! lol. OK, I’m done commenting.

Why didn't I see the signs, why could they see it and not me' etc. Finding myself and having grace with has been hard but I need to heal because I have a baby now. I hear what you are saying about Ashley trying to be a proverbs 31 woman. However, besides Tyler not being the kind of man that should be receiving that covering from a proverbs 31 woman, wouldn't a P31 woman guide a man to do good? As in NOT CONDONE the abandonment of three children? Additionally, the coldness she exhibited with her half-brother reaching out to her told me all I needed to know. Which makes me believe that she is not convicted in the faith as she and Tyler claim. I think they are cosplaying and should respectfully leave God out of it.

Thank you! People use "growing up in the church" as a slippery, worldly synonym for *Christian,* which it is NOT. Growing up in a dealership doesn't make you a Chrysler. And first 10 verses of proverbs 31 are written to A MAN (a king specifically) "Do not pervert justice for all the afflicted" Tyler, those children should not grow up and seek justice from you 😢
@hellostephco84
@hellostephco84 4 күн бұрын
I think that’s hard when so much of black culture is the black church. I think that’s part of the reason why the dear future wife podcast is so popular because he plays into two huge themes within the black community, which are: relationships and singlehood, and God specifically the Christian God. I think if he was just a relationship podcast, he wouldn’t be as popular, but it’s that combination of relationships and Christianity. That’s so many people in the black community can identify with. Ashley reminds me of a lot of women that I know who are raised that way, and in the Christian religion, they cannot help but to see things through that lens because that’s how they were raised. So they’ll never leave God out of it because people tend to use their belief systems to justify everything that they do in life. That’s why a couple of years ago. The deconstruction movement was so popular, because it was the first time that a lot of people were looking out their lives and their religion, outside of what they had been taught. And thinking for themselves. I’m not saying people can’t and shouldn’t continue up in the way that they were raised, but in a situation like this, you do need to have enough of a critical mind to ask yourself “is God even in this or am I pulling him into this because this is how I was raised to think and I’m not used to thinking critically by myself?“
@tiarac8917
@tiarac8917 3 күн бұрын
@@hellostephco84that’s really great point about the critical thinking because something I’m noticing in pop culture more now is using God or misquoted scripture as a scapegoat or a bypass to self reflection and behavioral improvement instead of as correction as it’s intended. I like that you brought the Proverbs 31 scripture as a barometer for a man too because it also says the husband is known and respected in the gates which to me sounds like he has a good name and good reputation and this rabbit hole of lies that emerged from that first hiding of the children was a bad sign from the start.
@Becoming_EJ
@Becoming_EJ 3 күн бұрын
@@logenesis3108 EXACTLY. I'm a Christian and something I hard to learn recently was discernment. I mean I've met men who would apologize for something that didn't align with me. I'd accept their apology. What they didn't understand was why as a Christian I wouldn't continue to date them after saying I accepted the apology. SO, If Ashley truly has God in her life, she would be convicted to bring Tyler to his kids. I honestly didn't think she knew everything before she said, "I Do". But since she has, she is not don't anything a person anchored in the faith should. Your husband abandoning his children, God's children should never sit well with her.

You know it’s a challenge to post more. Honestly, I can be honest and respond to this comment and say that I a lot of times, I’m confused about what to post. I know people don’t always agree with my viewpoints. So commentary is tough. I tend to not see the same thing in situations as everybody else sees. My perspective is different and that’s not always popular so it doesn’t always get the views so sometimes it’s not even worth me responding to certain situations. Also, I sort of don’t know what else people would want to watch on this channel. And so, it makes it difficult to know what videos to even put out. So good months, are months like last month with a show that everybody’s watching and I can give my commentary on it even though it’s not gonna be what everybody else sees or what everybody else is thinking about the show but it gives me consistent content ideas and I know hey someone might watch. But honestly, I’m at a loss for what people would watch and so it brings me a little bit of trepidation whenever I think about making a new video cause I’m like “would they even care about that?” Posting for me is like gambling. I never know what’s gonna end up being worth my time And that’s a kind of frustrating. So I try and post as much as I can but like I said, it’s like gambling and I don’t like to gamble. I hate casinos actually lol.

@@hellostephco84 Yeah, I know it's rough, but how else are you gonna find your true audience? I don't make videos, but from what of seen of small creators, consistency brings the best results. Michele McDaniel is a good example, her channel use to be called "My Thoughts Will Probably Offend You" and she stuck to her guns, now she's almost at a million subs. I don't think finding a niche` really works anymore, creators just have to be will to ride the ebb and flow of the subscribers until it reaches equilibrium. I say post what you want to post and the haters be damnned.

@hellostephco84 4 күн бұрын
@@JubeiKibagamiFezI know her!!! I know exactly what you mean. Good point! And I don’t think people are haters per se, I just think they don’t agree so that means they don’t enjoy it like they would if they agreed. Opposite viewpoints are cool, but it feels better to the brain when someone is affirming your feelings, thoughts or experiences. When that’s not happening, listening to them can feel like work and people already work too hard lol they watch videos to have fun! So I don’t think it’s hate always, but you’re right, it’s definitely a “refining” experience for sure.

I think he said those things to him, to try and give him some damn self-esteem. Tyler sounds like he didn’t have any self-esteem. No positive ideas about his life and his legacy. And no grounding ideas about himself as a man. So in my opinion, Laterras saying that to him was like someone saying “hey remember you’re great!” but you’re saying it to someone who really is not displaying those characteristics. You’re trying to get them to see themselves in a different light so they start to move different. I don’t think Laterras really thinks he’s a king. Especially not after getting more information from Ricky and Jesse and hearing the man say out of his own mouth he had no attachment to his biological children. I think Laterras is a counselor and a coach at heart so he’s trying to just get him to change his mindset about himself so hopefully his actions will look different.

Great commentary! I believe the Laterras interview style did not work for the Tyler interview specifically, because it’s obvious that Tyler has had yes men his whole entire life, adding one to the mix is only an ego boost and a cause to keep lying. A good interviewer would have took that baby shower question and asked well “was there any other place or event that they could have been talking about?” Something so simple could have gave him more credibility, instead of seeming like he was coddling him.
@hellostephco84
@hellostephco84 3 күн бұрын
That is a good question, that a more “informed” interviewer would ask. But I think LaTerras just didn’t have that information, he kept asking about a baby shower bc he thought that’s what it was. He kept giving Tyler the option to clarify and he kept asking the same clarifying questions because he thought the issue at hand was a baby shower lol. I wish someone had said in his ear “hey LaTerras, ask him about a GENDER REVEAL man, he’s getting by on a technicality! Change the question!” But they didn’t so he dropped it. Tyler knew what that man was talking about lol but he got a loophole because he wasn’t asked correctly. I think LaTerras does have a good platform but you can’t be a liar which unfortunately Tyler is.
@nikkinikki8
@nikkinikki8 3 күн бұрын
@ Lol that is how Laterras is trying to cover himself by saying he wasn’t informed. He doesn’t need to be informed to ask it a different way. That’s just a generalized follow up question to make sure it’s an absolutely false statement. Before I watched the interview I didn’t know anything about a baby shower or a gender reveal lol I was still hoping he’d ask it differently because Tyler was putting more emphasis on the location than the actual accusation. Dead giveaway. 😩 Lol

As a mother, Bri had to come out and defend their Children that He decided he no longer wanted to be involved in. He put them in Harms way, their mother came to their defense. All these additional interviews, are letting me know that once again we might be responding as social media to a situation and we don’t have all the details. I think the only thing we can all agree on is that he needs to be financially responsible for those kids because he made thembut all of the other hate that I had for him in this storyline before I watched this interview, kind of went away when I saw that he was just really really really messy around some really messy folks and it started to make more sense to me how they all got in this situation.

The best thing Tyler and Ashley could do is actually be in the kids lives now. Whether they send birthday cards, ask to see them for the holidays, or just have a relationship with the kids, but it's from a distance. Tyler is so consumed with "these kids, aren't mine" but you could step up and still be present for them regardless, and that's what both him and ashley aren't seeing. F all the storylines, and narratives, why not just be there for them until their 18 and then you sit down and share how messy it was in the beginning. At least then the kids have had you in their lives and you can say that. Choosing to not want to be apart of their lives and claiming to justify it becuz you don't feel they are yours is truly a cowards way out. They will remember you as a coward Tyler....I

My thing is, this whole thing would have been avoided if Tyler was just straight up in the pods and didn't act as if he didn't have kids. We can play a drinking game off of how many times he mentions having "pod babies" and the like. It would not haven't gotten so messy if he didn't call them "sperm babies" and publicly disowned them.

Ashley is def not a Proverbs 31 woman imo. Proverbs 31:8 8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, She is turning a deaf ear to his children who cannot speak up for themselves. Theres a very scary apathy happening
@hellostephco84
@hellostephco84 3 күн бұрын
A proverbs 31 woman is a script. I was pointing out the fact that she was given a script to follow, and she is trying to play to the script. But regardless, she is being a good little soldier of the Christian church factory that tells women to put marriage up on a pedestal and sacrifice themselves and abandon all critical thought just so they can be married. I used the proverbs 31 example because that was one of my many experiences with being indoctrinated in the same way. Ashley may not be living up to that role in your opinion, but my point was to point out that she went to the same school that a lot of other people did and received the same education and the same instruction. A proverbs 31 woman is a script a template to become in your life, but you cannot become that woman fully without selecting the right man and so she’s trying to play the part, but she’ll never fully assume the role not because she’s not following the script closely, but she didn’t choose the right partner. That’s my point. It’s like a lot of roles you can play in life. You’re only as good as the people that you decide to play with.

Ashley does NOT have good "scruples"! HER BEHAVIOR IS SHOWING THAT‼️ NO WAY WOULD SHE BE ABLE TO CONDONE /ENABLE/ AND SUPPORT HER HUZBAND ABANDONING HIS 3 CHILDREN IF SHE HAD SCRUPLES!! THE RESPONSIBILITY IS TYLER'S BUT NO WAY WOULD HE CONTINUE TO DO THAT WITHOUT HER ARDENT SUPPORT!!!
@hellostephco84

Hypothetically, the scruples she has, her engineering is sound it’s applied to the wrong situation. If I use salt in a baking recipe. The salt isn’t wrong. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the salt. It’s in the wrong recipe. How many times have people and I guess I feel this way about her because I’ve made mistakes in my life and felt like I was doing the right thing until I finally realized “Hey it’s not that you’re all the way wrong. It’s just that you’re trying to be “right” in the wrong situation, which is making you look stupid” I don’t personally believe that “good people” are people that just never do wrong things. And that “bad people” are people that never do right things. You have some people who will try and do good things in a bad situation and then they will be deemed bad people because that combination will inherently show them in that light. That’s my point. I don’t know why that’s so hard to understand. I also don’t know why you’re typing in all caps. WE are not Tyler or Ashley. Everyone needs to calm down.

I appreciated Laterras’ interview solely for the clear contrast illustrated. To your left, a man who is biologically and legally the father, but justifying and rationalizing every one of his actions and then to your right, a man who has made mistakes, admitted to them openly and chosen to father children who he had absolutely no biological ties to. However ill-prepared Laterras was to interview Tyler, his example shines and I pray his example of fatherhood convicts Tyler. I think Laterras was winsome. I’m glad he kept using the word offspring. For the sake of the children. I hope he thinks about it and I hope he and Ashley can’t shake it from their minds until they come to the conclusion that they should be in the village that raises the children.

UGH, I hate that you all seemingly have to blame Christianity for bad behaviour, she’s not a proverbs 31 woman, this is FOOLISHNESS not righteousness, she ain’t got nothing to do with that verse, because what does light have to do with darkness? She would not want to be with him if she accurately followed the bible and applied that verse accurately, just because she mentions God, doesn’t mean we should actually associate her behaviour with God, a righteous woman is just and cares for children, mentioning the bible in this matter is a lack of critical thinking, there’s no Christian woman that would condone what Ashley is doing, there are plenty of people have call themselves Christian and act in a cognitively dissociated way, humans are very stupid, it’s not new
@hellostephco84
@hellostephco84 3 күн бұрын
We're not blaming it. We're highlighting that sometimes when people have been so engineered to look at life a certain way, they abscond critical thought and cannot be objective and step back and ask "does this make any sense?" I think alot of people have noticed that religious people particularly will justify their actions because "God has told them to do this" without examining exactly what God has asked them to do. I believe that if people did that more, there would be fewer wars, fewer oversteps in governmental legislation (what happened to separation of Church and State??) and there would be fewer people sacrificing themselves in order to try and obtain a status that has been raised to the level of idolatry, for Christians...that status is marriage. We are not blaming Christianity, we are raising an eyebrow at Christians who blindly follow the parts of the Bible that make them feel good, and refuse to be objective and self reflective about anything else.

Also wanna add to your point about how Laterras checked him vs how Jessie and Rikki wanted him to be checked. Watching Jessie's live when Laterras came on showed just how different our communication styles are and why these gender wars tend to continue. Laterras was trying to get them to understand that he knows how to communicate with men because he is a man, and they and the comments couldn't seem to let it go. As a woman, I wanted to see Tyler get told off and put in his place, but had Laterras gone in with that energy, he never would've gotten anywhere. Idk, not saying either way is right or wrong. It was just the first time I saw an example in real-time. It was interesting to watch.

27:53 of course he means the kids, thats what he is already doing. Moms and dads that really love their kids will deal with a lot of mess to be with them, he just uses this "mess" (that he created too) to excuse himself out of his responsibility. Sending child support doesnt involve you in mess.
@hellostephco84
@hellostephco84 3 күн бұрын
Was I the only one that heard how terrible Bri’s mom is? Was I the only one that heard his description of Bri and those relationships? Maybe I’m the only one who can consider that being involved with somebody like that would be extremely messy. And Tyler clarified in the interview. When I say that family, I mean her and her mama and anybody that comes along with Bri and that unfortunately includes the innocent kids. He said that. I think because as women what we can really see is the mom being abandoned and the kids being abandoned, we don’t hear that other part, but I hear it. In fact, in my own life, I have decided to stay around people before based on their family And leave people before based on their family so I understand where he was coming from with that. So when he says that family, I’m sorry but I disagree. He’s not just talking about the kids. He means every single person associated with them. That’s why it was so important for the LaTerras to tell him “it does not matter how you feel about their mom, it does not matter how you feel about their grandma, you need to pay child support”. And I agree. But I also agree, he don’t want nothing to do with none of the other people either and that’s valid.

That’s gonna be such a sticky situation. The best possible outcome for Ashley is too quietly, divorce him, stay off of social media, and come back a year later with the post talking about. “this has been a good year for growth and self reflection, I realized I was putting marriage up on a pedestal and treating it as an idol, and in the process Got myself into a situation that I did not deserve. I realize I was helping a man be complicit in abandoning his family, and in that process, I was sentencing children to the fatherless childhood that I knew growing up. I am deeply ashamed of these actions and will spend my life reflecting on this chapter but from this day forward, I choose to look ahead And focus on my future. Sure I am a single woman, but I am a single woman with a conscience that is intact.” Or something like that lol.

I really appreciate that you’re one of the few voices who’s raised an eyebrow at the mystery surrounding Bri’s role in all of this. I highly doubt her hands are 100% clean in all of this mess. Tyler allegedly abandoning his children is awful, but the way these KZbinrs keep airing all of his personal business without his permission - I wonder if he could file a harassment lawsuit against some of them because atp the constant updates on his life that we shouldn’t be privy to is getting unhinged, imo.

He could if he wanted to. He definitely has rights. Any photos that he took of him and the kids and he can prove he took them himself and they were sent to Brian and used in any of the KZbinrs content on any of her social media post airing him out. Tyler could sue for copyright infringement. Those are officially his property and she shared them without his consent and he owns those images. Don’t ask me how I know that lol so he absolutely is within his rights to be offended that all his personal information has been aired out like this. But he also got himself in this situation and so I don’t know how far he’d be willing to take that kind of a lawsuit.

13:40 - Netflix didnt protect them because they did the background checks and knew what was there! How can you protect them when they literally used them to stir up drama. LIB just didnt think or calculate that people would have compassion for the children or just how triggering everything from Hannah and Nick, Tyler and Ashley and Marissa and Rameses would be! --drama naturally happens but when you try to 26:27 I disagree. He meant Bri and those kids. His actions say this because he has not seen them since going on the show and he even said "the son" to try to distance himself from being dad by blood but also agreeing to be their dad and co parenting with her. I agree with the Proverbs 31 woman statements. I'll add that we need to teach our daughters that the bible also talks about foolish men and liars and they do not receive the kingdom so we need to be better about making sure the partners we choose line up with that as well, not just us lining up with scripture. Youre statements on the Dear Wifey podcast Laterrus I agree with. They think because I can see what Laterras was trying to do with him that was positive that I excuse his behavior that I support them as a couple. Oh I still think it’s some bullshit. But, I can’t see the positives in the interview and and I feel I have more insight on who Tyler is as an individual and why he ended up in this mess that he ended up in. But trust, I did not make this video to say we should all support Tyler. Absolutely not and I think I made that clear here. I’m happy you decided to watch before “shaking me down“ lol.
