That first match was a great example of what Scott said about what's toxic vs what's not. All those players were trying to compensate how bad they really are with tea bags, that's all that was. In any other map where they didn't have this insane volume of pallets this match would've ended so fast. Also the irony of how much Pig suffers on her on map. This map rework, dude...

Thankfully, I’ve only run into Boil Over twice, on two survivors in one game. But it was on Dead Dog, as Pig, so I managed okay. I think I ran into Boil Over more before the buff tbh 😂

Definitely my favorite build for dying light is the is the double infection timer add ons for Plague. The one where you can't throw up directly on people but stuff you infect stays infected for two whole minutes. You have to play her more like the hag or the trapper and focus on an area easiest to patrol so you're going to have a rough early game, But after 2 or 3 ticks of dying light you will be completely set with hoe slow they'll fix gens. You do Thanataphobia, Dying Light, and Pain Resonance with the last perk being optional. I usually run Ruin which will give them something to distract them while you can snag some more DL stacks, But sometimes I'll also switch it up for either Remember Me now that you don't have to basic attack the obsession. You can also add Hysteria and basically run around without a Terror Radius the entire game unless they all want to stay broken and deal with Thanataphobia.

You should try a Freddy and dead man switch combo, I feel like faking gen teleports would be really good for getting it to activate early and not actually have to put pressure by going out of your way. Even artist wastes time by putting up crows, and if they don’t leave the gen then you could actually teleport.

The survivors in the first game would annoy the f*** out of me if I faced them. Which, I pretty much face survivors like this all the time nowadays. It's just about every damn round of dbd i play, I run in to survivors like this. It is annoying, and honestly, it is starting to make me grow to hate the game and the community more and more. If I return the toxicity with my own, they just start to play the victim. It is just annoying, and I am honestly done playing as a "fair" killer as a result

I ran into a couple of the boil over squads, one going all out and bringing the rpd offering and everything. I was playing deathslinger and was able to zone them away from the library most of the time, but I had to let a mikayla bleed out at the end. Still managed to get a 4k though. It was way too stressful for a match at 1 am though.

I love dying light on killers that can down fast. It gradually puts pressure on one memeber for healing, saving, doing gens and everything else, while the others get slowly crippled. It's strongest point is actually in the mid game. When you have two surviviors left you can just kill the obsession. Many people also think that they should outright ignore the obsession because it does not give stacks, but remeber that a hook it's still pressure and someone has to go save it with a debuff. Could it be better tho? Yes.

The problem with DL is that it will most of the time affect at most 2 players.

Huh, now that I am looking at it, Furtive Chase and Dying Light actually work decently together. With FC(Furtive Chase) you hook the Obsession to decrease your Terror Radius while in chase and when they're unhooked, the Survivor that hooked them becomes the new Obsession which can allow you to decrease your Terror Radius up to 16 meters. Now DL(Dying Light) makes it so every time you hook a Survivor besides the Obsession, all Survivors except the Obsession gain debuffs that reduce healing, repair and sabo speed as long as the Obsession is alive. This means that FC and DL don't actually hurt each other in anyway as long as the Obsession is alive. So if you use these 2 perks together then basically you can decrease your Terror Radius while also giving debuffs to all Survivors except the Obsession. Now if you add in something like Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain or Nemesis then the Survivors while have a hard time every time they're hooked.

u see, the thing is, furtive chase "value" has no value. It doesnt really help having a smaller TR while on a chase (unless u happen to go nearby another survivor while chasing one). Also if u want DL stacks and u happen to hook the obsession then u have to tunnel or u will never get DL stacks when defending a hook. Besides, DL "value" isnt really worth it. Let me explain: in order to get stacks u need to chase and hook a non obsession survivor. This means that once u get a stack, it is only going to affect at most 2 players: obsession is not affected by the debuff (in fact they get a buff to healing iirc) and u're going to be probably chasing another survivor or will be soon. And that's assuming no survivor is on a hook, in that case it only affects 1 player.

Coulrophobia DOES work on Oblivious Survivors. Your Terror Radius exists regardless of whether they can hear it or not. Oblivious does not make you have no TR. They just don't get to hear it. However, Undetectable DOES make your TR go away.

@@cerdi_99 I know it works on Coulrophobia. The difference is that they changed it so that you don't have to HEAR the TR to be IN the TR. I think around the time Clown was released, the mechanics for how that check worked were different, and they fixed it to more appropriately fit the language.

For Pain Resonance you have to go out of your way too, if a scourged hook isn't nearby. But I agree that it is way better than pop. The regression is instantly over a huge distance and at the gen where it is most needed.

don't worry about boil over, killers just slug now, no one picks up boil over survivors anymore. they either waste time for their entire team rushing to pick them up, and they also do nothing while in the dying state of course. once the killer picks you up one time, sees you have boil over, and that you are upstairs...they just drop you down and leave you slugged. I burnt so many map offerings trying it out, smart killers never pick you up or carry you for a long time. I even used boil, flip flop, unbreakable, tenacity...even if you pick yourself up they just slug you again. also there is almost always a hook near except RPD library.

Had an idea if you were to miss skill checks on the jigsaw boxes with The Pig while you had the party hat on it would accelerate the timer. Perhaps only by 10 seconds but after only one skills check miss (that would be the limit)

🛑 Boil Over Counter: I think as a way to counter Boil Over is killers should try walking up to the ledge of edge and dropping the survivor down like putting them down over the edge and then jumping down and picking them back up. Because they shouldn’t in theory get Boil Over value because you didn’t drop down with them in hand. Plus, in the small period of time when you let them go to drop down you get to see all the hooks again. It’s a little more time and effort but your other option is a 20% higher chance of not getting that hook. It’s worth trying but I don’t play killer. I was playing survivor and to get away from the killer I dropped down the metal platform in that big factory building in Ironworks of Misery and then right after I did it I realized how dumb it was that I done that. I wasn’t running boil over but I realize that because of the circumstances of the situation Killer didn’t want to pick me up because I was up so high and he was worried that I was running it.
