Oil and Filter Service Replacement:
In this video i have replaced the oil and filter of N47C engine and cover it in detail,
you will find this engine in most 2013 and up models of
Toyota Avensis 1.6 D4D
Toyota Verso 1.6 D4D
Toyota Rav4 1.6 D4D
Totoya Auris 1.6 D4D
BMW Mini Cooper 1.6 D4D
N47c Diesel Engine
it is very important to get a good quality engine oil for the engine with specific manufactures specification as there is a chain delicate timing chain installed in these engine which required regular on time services.
According to manufactures specification the best suitable engine oil for this engine is
5W30 Fully Synthetic C3.

Tip: The sump plug has a copper washer installed and a new washer comes with a oil filter and must be replaced as if the oil has been changed and the washer is missing then there will be a leak from the sump plug.
Tip: The sump plug of the N47C engine 17mm and you would need a spanner to open the plug as there is not much room for ratchet unless you want to try a super slim space saver ratchet.
To open the filter housing you will need a 21mm socket.
Once oil and filter has been changed run the engine for 10 to 15 minutes up to a normal operating temperature and look under the car for any engine oil leaks.

Toyota engineers appear to have forgotten that socket would be a lot easier to use to undo the sump nut, anyway thank you so much for this tutorial, I feel confident doing it myself now cheers. 👍👍👍
