The oil drain plug is close enough to the front of the car that you don't need ramps or jack up the car to get underneath. You can just reach it. I have a Micra and it's the simplest oil change ever. Good video.

@@tracyhennessey4451 The drain plug is on the rear of the oil pan like normal but you can still reach it without jacking up the car.

@@tracyhennessey4451 Correct! That's why you should put only 3 liters, lower the car horizontally and check if it needs to be topped up with the remaining 0.5 liters.

So we bought our brand new 2015 Nissan Micra SR in 2014 and today only has 28,000 KL on it since I use to work very close to home and just last weekend I changed that battery, engine air filter as well as the Cabin air filter for the first time. Now once I got to the cabin air fliter to change there was none. Was this the case for any others that own a 2015 Micra...might want to check.

If you need a break bar to loosen the drain plug then the last person who did the oil change is a dunce. It doesn't need to be that tight

The oil filter catches dirt and debris that accumulates through normal engine use. It's important to change the filter to keep the new oil cleaner for longer.

For 2019 Micra everything is the same, except the motor oil is 0-W20.

@@walidkathem8758 In the manual, if you also change the filter, it says 3.5 liters, but if you use the method presented here, that is, the car on the ramps -only in front - fill with oil only 3 liters and after you get off the ramps you can check (with the help of the dipstick) if the remaining 0.5 liters must be added.

The 5W-30 is only good up to 2017. From 2018 onward its 0W-20.
