Oil cooler for the FRS! OEM Subaru install step by step....

Hi, is there any difference in connecting the longer or shorter hose to the upper pipe instead of the lower pipe on the engine side?

3/8" to 1/2" hose. The nipple at the throttle is smaller than the cooler

just bought the oil cooler at the dealership then source the other parts like the hose and clamps ends up way cheaper than the rebadge "works oil regulator" you can find online even customized mine with a different color hose.

My 2002 RSX-S and even my Bros 1995 Camry comes with a stock oil cooler.

No problems at all and it cools the oil by about 4 degrees so I am very happy with it.

@@PhotomikesGarage my 96 integra gsr has an oem oil sandwich cooler that looks very similar... Glad i decided not get rid of it when i went turbo lol

What size hose clamps did you use?

he used a 3/8 ID hose, i found one at lordco pretty much any auto parts store will have them, cost me $6 for a 5 feet

Did you install oil temp and pressure gauges on your brz?

I use my Open flash tablet to monitor my oil temp and pressure.

What is the max temp on the track?

It doesn't even matter what it is because this is NOT recommended for a track build. This is only really good for daily driving and occasional spirited driving. It's more of an oil temp regulator and not a COOLER.

Photomikes Garage Really i will trust you. Because i saw another video where the adapter don't have the littler tap on the bottom that sticks down. For me your version adapter is better for the tap on the bottom. Thanks for reply my msg
