Good to now that you need to varnish the model. I got the advice that you don't need to do that but it ruined my model...

Do you have an email where you could give me some tips on a certain diorama project I want to start? I just need your expertise on what materials I'll need and techniques to use to make it.

Hi, Romaris! Its ok, you can ask your question here.

@@FORTworkshop it's a bit of a complexed question and I have reference photos of my diorama idea to show you what I'm talking about exactly...

@@FORTworkshop But just so you know, I plan to make my own diorama of the massive fireplace from the 1999 haunting movie if you ever seen it. 3D printing this is out of the question as that method would be costly too So I was hoping I could discuss further details on how to go about making each part via. Email instead of here.

Would gloss be ok as a base coat? Or has it got to be semi gloss? So confused with this? And what about pun washes? Does this technique work for this?
@FORTworkshop Жыл бұрын
It is recommended semi gloss or matte varninsh to be used before this technique. Never tried it with just gloss, I think in this case it oil paint will be just removed with thinner.

@@FORTworkshop Thank you. So gloss for the pin wash etc. Leave to dry thenatte varnish for the dot filter?
@FORTworkshop Жыл бұрын
@@elliotgregory3356 yes, the varnish should be completely dry

@@FORTworkshop Thank you. So basically I do my pin washes etc in the gloss coat, tidy up leave to dry then matt varnish and apply dot filters on that then re-varnish matt?
@FORTworkshop Жыл бұрын
@@elliotgregory3356 Yes, you right! Final re-varnish is up to you.
